Meet Amira Noor

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amira Noor . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amira below.

Amira , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I was raised in a family which emphasised hard work and discipline. Ever since I was little, I have watched both my parents work very hard and teach me the importance of not taking success for granted. This influenced and inspired me to do the same. I also grew up in a circle of friends who are hardworking and dedicated to their careers. I think it is important to surround yourself with people who have the same mind set. Along with that, I also have a strong individual drive because I am very passionate about what I do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a model, singer and actor. I was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland. After completing high school, I moved to Mumbai, India for a gap year where I began my career as a model after signing with one of the top agencies in Mumbai. During my gap year, I modelled for various clothing, jewellery and cosmetic brands as well as appeared in numerous tv commercials. At the end of my gap year, I attended Berklee College of Music where I focused on songwriting, producing and performing. At the end of my college, I released two original songs and have continued to work on my music. I am now focusing on my modeling as I have started to model internationally.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Patience, Resilience and Professionalism. The industry can be a very scary place with a lot of ups and downs. You need to have a lot of patience which you will also develop over time. There is going to be a lot of rejection. I think professionalism is the most important because that is how you will stand out. Hard work is also very important. You need to work on your craft everyday and invest in it.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I would love to collaborate with any cosmetic, food, clothing or jewellery brands. Recently, I have started working with many brands by promoting their products on my social media platforms by creating stories, reels and posts as I have managed to build a great following. I would love to learn about, promote and help out any new brands as well. I can be contacted through my instagram page: amira__noor
