Meet Amit Amram

We were lucky to catch up with Amit Amram recently and have shared our conversation below.

Amit, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from a deep, deep passion for my craft, and my strive for success and perfection.

I don’t think you can build a successful business without putting in the hard work, you have to find a field that you’re passionate about, that way you’ll always give 110% of yourself, not related to whether you’re making or not making money from that.

Your business should be based on your skills, vision, passion, drive, and market needs.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Amit, I’m a producer, mixer, and songwriter located in Seattle, WA (and working remotely with people all over the world)

I specialize in working with songwriters who write authentic songs that lean towards authentic messages. It’s my job to take the artist’s best ideas and transform them into fully produced, high-quality, ready-to-be-released songs, that get them results!
that is imperative for building a career as a musician.

My approach to making music is personal and comprehensive.
I sit with the artists and guide them through planning, recording, producing, and releasing their music.

In this competitive industry, you gotta have a right vision, and a team to help you in this process.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Ability to learn & adapt. Whether it’s letting go of Ego, learning from others, or understanding the market and what value you can contribute, that is within your skill sets.

2. Open minded.
Always listen, and be open to learning, and change, don’t ever think your opinion is 100% true, especially in the creative market where art is completely subjective.

3. Kindness
Whatever you do in this life, you need people around you, kindness will take you far and will help you attract good people to you.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Overwhelment starts with a lack of organizational skills. Take a deep breath, go on a walk, and organize your projects, manage your time, delegate some tasks, outsource things that you can’t do/ prefer not doing. Everything starts and ends in your mental health.

Overwhelment will take your energy/ focus/ productivity way down.
Understanding that is the first step, the second step is to act and do whatever feels good and will help you get out of Overwhelment.

Learn how to deal with your workload, being busy always better than the alternative, so set yourself up for success in the beginning, prepare for Overwhelment, and take action whenever you feel like it’s starting to happen.
