We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amor Roldan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amor , you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
For me, my generosity comes from my life experiences. Growing up, I wasn’t blessed with materialistic things and it never was my main concern. I was taught from my loving mom that things will always work out. As long as we admire the little things in life and are doing things from the kindness of our hearts. We will be okay.
I also was bullied often by my peers and it was something that took a toll on me. But one thing that I kept from that experience was to never make others feel that same way. To this day, I continue to create spaces for people to be seen, heard, and valued.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Amor Roldan. I am also know as Amorcito Artcito in the art scene in Long Beach, CA.
I’ve been creating art for years. Whether it’s digital art, hand drawn pieces, or collages, I’m always creating something. I was never confident enough to share my art until about a year ago. I started to sell my art at various art markets and fell more in love with the art world.
As I continued to sell my art, I felt the sense to build more community. I wanted people to come together, be creative, and feel seen. So I created a social fiber and craft club called Yap & Stitch and an interactive art market called, Tiny Art Market.
Yap & Stitch is a free fiber arts social club that meets three times a month. We meet in different locations in Long Beach, Orange County, and LA! We welcome everyone, all ages, to come hang out and be crafty!
Tiny Art Market is an interactive art market where we aim to build community and share the love of art. Our interactive component is a unique sticker scavenger hunt which our guest can purchase. Your job as the guest is to find the secret vendors with the sticker. Once you collect all stickers, you win a prize!
The main goal of the sticker scavenger hunt card is to build engagement amongst the vendors and guest!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I feel like there are so many I can list but the main two I want to highlight are dedication and confidence. Without those qualities, it will feel impossible to not reach your goals and aspirations.
Sometimes we not feel dedicated or confident to our craft but we have to fake it till we make it! Life will be hard but it will feel harder if we don’t try to reach our goals in life.
One piece of advice I would give is to never do this alone! Bring in your community for help and support. You need a team to help you! It will make life and your journey so much easier

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I’m always open to partnering and collaborating! Community and creativity are at the heart of everything I do. Whether it’s through Yap & Stitch, Tiny Art Market, or my own work as Amorcitos Artcito, I love building spaces where artists, makers, and small businesses can shine together.
I’m especially interested in collaborating with:
• Local artists, crafters, and creatives who are passionate about their medium and eager to share their work in community spaces.
• Small businesses and local brands that align with slow fashion, handmade goods, or creative living.
• Organizations or venues that support the arts, wellness, or community building. especially those who want to co-host events, workshops, or markets.
• Folks who just love yarn, color, texture, and cozy vibes, whether they’re makers or just curious to learn.
If you feel a spark or see potential for us to create something beautiful together, I’d love to hear from you!
