Meet Amy Kelly

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amy Kelly. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Amy, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I’ve built my resilience by understanding one fundamental truth: life will always change and I am the only person responsible for how I respond. That realisation hit me hardest when I stepped into a brand-new chapter of my life, far away from anything familiar. I had just relocated to a different country, didn’t speak the language fluently, and was trying to build a business from the ground up. I vividly remember asking myself: How am I going to do this? That question wasn’t coming from doubt, it was coming from a deep desire to figure it out, to find a way.

So I leaned into reflection. I let myself feel the fear, the overwhelm, and the uncertainty. But I didn’t let them stop me. I anchored myself in movement — taking small, consistent steps forward, even when things felt chaotic. I built my resilience by facing discomfort regularly. From starting over professionally, to managing isolation and self-doubt, to navigating financial risk and personal setbacks, I didn’t avoid the hard things. I worked through them. Slowly but surely, I trained my nervous system to feel safe amidst uncertainty.

Through those experiences, I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about “toughing it out” it’s about being honest with yourself, grounded in your vision, and willing to rise again and again. It’s been built through practice, challenge, and choice. And every time I’ve been knocked down or stretched further than I thought possible, I’ve come back stronger. That’s where my resilience comes from, not just from surviving change, but from choosing to grow through it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I run a coaching business that helps women reconnect with their purpose, rebuild their confidence, and create a life and business that actually feels good to live in. My work sits at the intersection of strategy, nervous system awareness, and self-leadership because I believe success shouldn’t cost you your sanity or sense of self.

What makes my work special is that it’s not about pushing harder or hustling more. It’s about helping ambitious women come back home to themselves and then build from that place. Whether a client is navigating burnout, redefining their identity after a big life change, or scaling a business that’s starting to feel heavy, I help them reconnect with clarity and lead with intention.

What excites me most is witnessing the ripple effect. When a woman feels rooted in her voice and vision again, everything shifts her relationships, her boundaries, her business, her joy. That moment when a client says, “I finally feel like myself again,” that’s the magic.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding my impact through podcasting, group programs, and live events. I recently launched a series called Becoming the CEO of Your Health, where we explore what it really looks like to lead yourself through health challenges, career pivots, and personal reinventions. It’s raw, real, and resonates deeply with women who are ready to take back ownership of their story.

I’m also preparing for a few exciting things in 2026 including international workshops, community retreats, and new digital tools to help my clients build sustainable success with less noise and more nourishment.

This brand was born from my own lived experience from burning out, starting over, and realising that there’s power in doing things differently. So whether someone finds me through coaching, content, or conversation, I want them to walk away feeling seen, empowered, and reminded of what’s possible.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, there are three qualities that have had the most profound impact on my journey, both personally and professionally. These weren’t things I mastered overnight. They were forged through experience, discomfort, and a willingness to grow even when it felt terrifying.

1. The courage to leave a life that no longer fit even when it looked “good on paper”
One of the hardest things I’ve ever done was walk away from a version of my life that I had outgrown. It wasn’t awful. In fact, to others, it looked successful. But deep down, I knew I was living a life that wasn’t truly mine a life shaped by expectations, not alignment.
Choosing to expand to try something new, to risk failing, to honour the quiet knowing that there must be more took everything I had. It would’ve been easier to stay. But if I had, I would have been choosing comfort over purpose.
My advice: If something no longer fits, give yourself permission to outgrow it. You’re allowed to evolve. It’s scary, but that fear often means you’re on the right path. Trust the version of you who’s asking for more.

2. The resilience to keep going even when it would’ve been easier to go back
Entrepreneurship, healing, transformation none of it is linear. There have been countless moments where I felt stuck, discouraged, or tempted to shrink back into what I knew. The real skill wasn’t in being fearless it was in choosing to move forward anyway.
There is something deeply powerful about holding your vision through the wobbles. About staying committed to your growth, even when no one else sees the full picture.
My advice: When it gets hard, pause but don’t quit. It’s so tempting to retreat to what’s familiar, especially when everything feels uncertain. But I promise you, the version of you on the other side of that discomfort is stronger, wiser, and more fulfilled. Stay with it.

3. Learning how to regulate my nervous system and lead myself through discomfort
This one changed everything. For years, I thought I had a mindset problem. In reality, I had a dysregulated nervous system from years of burnout, people pleasing, and over-functioning. Once I learned how to build safety in my body to process fear, anxiety, and even joy everything started to shift.
I could show up more fully, make clearer decisions, and hold space for bigger opportunities. I stopped reacting and started responding. That inner work didn’t just change my business; it changed my entire life.
My advice: Invest in practices that support your inner world, breathwork, somatics, therapy, and coaching. You don’t have to hustle your way to healing. When your inner world is grounded, the outer world becomes far easier to navigate.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

One of the most impactful books I’ve ever read is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I discovered it at a very pivotal time in my life, when I was navigating big transitions, rebuilding my identity, and questioning everything about what I wanted next.

What this book made me realise is that all we really have is today. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow doesn’t exist yet. And most of the worry we carry comes from things that haven’t even happened. That simple but powerful truth changed how I move through the world.

The quote “You are not your thoughts. You are the awareness behind them” really stuck with me. It helped me separate who I am from the noise in my head, and gave me permission to stop over-identifying with fear, pressure, and overthinking.

Since reading it, I’ve become a more present coach, founder, and person. I stopped trying to control everything and started living more from trust and grounded awareness. If you’re in a season of questioning or rebuilding, I couldn’t recommend this book more.
