In my interior design business, I specialize in creating spaces that reflect my clients’ unique personalities and lifestyles. What excites me most is the transformative power of design; seeing a space evolve from ordinary to extraordinary is truly fulfilling. Each project is a collaboration that tells a story, and I love helping clients realize their visions while bringing functionality and beauty together. We work with clients all over the United States and specialize in a fresh traditional aesthetic, meaning we like to mix the old and the new together.
On a side note, I’m thrilled to share that my 11-year-old daughter and I recently launched a tween girl clothing boutique called Society Girls, designed for girls aged 7-16. This venture beautifully merges fashion, faith, and friendships, creating a space where young girls can express themselves while embracing their values. I love showing my daughter firsthand how a little hard work and determination can lead to something meaningful and fulfilling. It’s been such a rewarding experience to embark on this journey together and empower young girls to shine!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been perseverance, joy, and a strong sense of curiosity.
Perseverance has been essential, especially during challenging times. There were moments when obstacles felt overwhelming, but pushing through those difficulties has taught me resilience and the importance of staying focused on my goals. My advice for those just starting out is to embrace setbacks as learning opportunities. Each challenge can strengthen your resolve if you maintain a forward-looking mindset.
Joy has also played a crucial role. Without joy in what I do, I certainly would have thrown in the towel very early on! Finding joy in the process, whether it’s through the creative aspects of my work or connecting with clients, keeps my passion alive. For someone starting out in a new venture, I recommend prioritizing what brings you joy in your journey. Celebrate small victories and remember to have fun along the way; it will fuel your motivation.
Finally, curiosity has driven me to continuously learn and grow. Staying open to new ideas, techniques, and perspectives has enriched my work and expanded my capabilities. To develop this quality, I encourage aspiring professionals to seek knowledge in various forms—attend workshops, read widely, and engage with others in your field. Cultivating curiosity will keep your passion alive and propel your journey forward!
