We recently connected with Amy Ramsey and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose through some really hard seasons. I’m a survivor of domestic and violent abuse, and for years I carried the weight of guilt, shame, and unworthiness. That pain could have defined me—but over time I realized I could use it as fuel. I could take what was meant to break me and turn it into the very thing that gave me clarity and direction.
What changed everything was when I stopped chasing outside approval and started leaning into how I’m uniquely designed and wired. Purpose, for me, is about living up to my full potential—maximizing my impact and making sure the legacy I leave actually reflects the life I was created to live.
And it’s not a one-time revelation. It’s been a series of choices: to align my habits, my mindset, my vision, and my daily actions with who I’m becoming. That’s when purpose stopped being something I was searching for—and started becoming the ground I stand on every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m one of the few certified High-Performance Coaches who also brings extensive training in life, leadership, and wellness coaching, which gives me a unique lens into the transformation process. My passion is teaching and training women on the power of high-performance habits—helping them align their mindset, vision, and daily actions so they can unlock their full potential and make the impact they’re called to make. What excites me most is breaking down big, intimidating goals into clear, actionable systems and strategies that women can actually live out. Whether it’s through speaking, one-on-one coaching, or leading my community, my work is about equipping women to rise to their highest level—so they can level up their lives, unleash their influence, and leave a lasting legacy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I would say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been:
1. Resilience. As a survivor of domestic and violent abuse, I had to learn how to rise again from seasons of shame and unworthiness. Choosing to get back up, keep going, and turn pain into purpose also taught me how to take risks, fail forward, and keep moving even when I didn’t feel ready.
2. Mastery of High-Performance Habits. With over 25 years of training and practice, I’ve learned how clarity, energy, productivity, courage, and alignment truly create transformation. These habits not only changed my life but have equipped me to help others reach levels of impact they never thought possible.
3. Servant Leadership. At the heart of my work is the desire to serve others—to give women the tools, resources, and strategies they need to rise into their full potential. Leadership isn’t about titles; it’s about lifting others higher.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace resilience by not fearing setbacks, start with just one high-performance habit and practice it daily, and lead with a servant’s heart—because purpose and impact are always bigger than ourselves.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth this past year has been learning how to hone in on a system that allows me to accomplish more in less time, which led me to write a book on the very framework I use—one that’s not only helping me clarify goals, align actions with values, and pursue excellence, but is also helping others do the same, and I’m deeply grateful for that growth.
