Hi Amy, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

First and foremost, I get my optimism from God. Moving to Beijing, China, halfway through my junior year of high school showed me that I’m capable of overcoming any challenge. Additionally, I’ve navigated several difficult life events—becoming a single mom, earning my bachelor’s degree in my 40s, and completing my master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. These experiences have taught me resilience and strengthened my faith.

At Blessed Blooms Flower Shop and Gifts, we specialize in creating unique, heartfelt floral arrangements and gifts that bring joy, comfort, and connection. Established in 2022, we are a faith-based, women-owned small business that takes pride in designing pieces that speak to the heart, whether it’s a custom bouquet, a seasonal wreath, or a thoughtful graveside arrangement.

What makes our work so exciting is the creativity and meaning behind each design. From our Designer’s Choice arrangements, where we let the beauty of seasonal blooms shine, to special offerings like our Celestial Blue and Hello Sunshine arrangements, each piece is crafted with love and care. We even partner with other faith-based brands, like The Lesser Me, to offer Christian-inspired gifts such as bracelets, necklaces, and stickers.

We’re always seeking to improve what we offer our customers. Recently, we’ve expanded our selection with thoughtful new items like interchangeable soap dispensers with washable wraps, fresh flower designs featuring cheerful Gerbera daisies, and vibrant “thank you” bouquets complete with tie-dye balloons. We also launched our flower cart service, which is perfect for events, weddings, and corporate gatherings.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on our journey with Blessed Blooms Flower Shop and Gifts, there are three qualities and skills that have truly been the cornerstone of our growth:

1. Creativity and Adaptability
One of the most impactful skills has been the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing circumstances. From crafting custom floral arrangements that speak to the heart to introducing unique offerings like our flower cart service, Celestial Blue arrangement, and interchangeable soap dispensers, creativity has allowed us to stand out. Adaptability helped us evolve by introducing seasonal collections and collaborating with other businesses to expand our gift offerings.
Advice: Stay open to learning and exploring new ideas. Allow your creativity to flow but remain flexible in how you execute your vision. Listen to your customers—they’ll often inspire your next great idea!

2. Customer Connection and Service
Building meaningful relationships with our customers has been at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s through personalized floral designs, collaborations like our partnership with The Lesser Me, or offering thoughtful seasonal products, our focus has always been on understanding what people need and finding ways to bring them joy.
Advice: Take the time to truly connect with your audience. Ask for feedback, learn about their preferences, and create an experience that feels personal. Building trust and community goes a long way.

3. Vision and Collaboration
Having a clear vision has guided every step of our journey—from establishing a faith-based flower shop to creating designs that reflect our passion and purpose. Collaboration has also played a huge role, whether it’s partnering with faith-based businesses, local creators, or organizations that align with our mission.
Advice: Start with a vision that aligns with your values and long-term goals. Surround yourself with collaborators who complement your strengths and share your passion. Together, you’ll achieve far more than you could on your own.

For those just starting their journey, don’t be afraid to take small, thoughtful steps forward. Stay true to your values, be open to growth, and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. With creativity, strong connections, and a clear vision, you’ll be amazed at how far you can go!

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

One of the biggest challenges we’re currently facing at Blessed Blooms Flower Shop and Gifts is building greater recognition for our name and reputation within the community. As a small, faith-based business, we pour so much heart into every floral arrangement, custom gift, and collaboration, but reaching a wider audience and helping people discover what makes us unique takes time and effort.

Another significant goal we’re working toward is growing large enough to establish a dedicated retail space in Boiling Springs, SC. Right now, we’re focused on expanding our offerings and ensuring we deliver exceptional products and service to build the kind of loyal customer base that will allow us to take this next step.

The dream is to create a space where customers can experience the full range of what we offer—a place to shop for fresh and artificial arrangements, seasonal gifts, and faith-based products in a welcoming, inspiring environment. A retail space would also allow us to host workshops, partner with other local businesses, and continue serving our community in new and exciting ways.

For now, we’re working hard to get the word out through social media, local events, and collaborations, and we truly appreciate every share, referral, and review from our wonderful customers. Every little bit helps us move closer to making this dream a reality.
