Meet ANA FRANCO RUIZ

We recently connected with ANA FRANCO RUIZ and have shared our conversation below.

ANA, we sincerely appreciate you joining us today and agreeing to talk about some very personal topics. So, to kick things off, let’s talk about a tough one – divorce. Can you talk to us about how you overcame divorce?

I get my resilience from my children and my faith. As a single mother of three, I had to learn to be both strong and soft, to lead with love while facing life’s challenges with courage. When I went through my divorce, I felt like my world was falling apart, but I also saw it as the beginning of a new chapter. I focused on healing, growing, and creating something meaningful — which led me to start Ángeles Viajeros, my travel agency.

My work ethic comes from watching both my mother and father work tirelessly to provide for our family. They taught me that discipline and consistency are more powerful than talent. That’s the mindset I’ve applied every day in building my business — showing up, being organized, and putting love into everything I do.

Divorce didn’t break me. It refined me. It gave me the strength to discover my purpose and the courage to pursue a life filled with passion, impact, and freedom.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m Ana Franco, founder of Ángeles Viajeros — a travel agency with a soul. What makes our brand special is that we don’t just sell trips; we create experiences designed to heal, connect, and empower. As a single mom of three, I know how important it is to take time to recharge emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, and I bring that perspective into every itinerary we build.

What excites me most is seeing how travel transforms people — not just through beautiful destinations, but through the clarity, freedom, and joy that comes when you step outside your routine and reconnect with yourself.

Ángeles Viajeros is focused on wellness-centered travel for women and families. We curate group tours to places like Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas, always with the goal of creating safe, meaningful, and uplifting journeys.

Coming up next, we’re launching a transformational women’s retreat in the American Southwest this October, with visits to the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Sedona — places known for their spiritual energy and breathtaking beauty. We’re also expanding with an exclusive winter experience to Aspen, Colorado in December 2025.

My mission is to use travel as a tool for transformation — and I’d love for more people to experience that magic.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three Most Important Qualities, Skills and/or Areas of Knowledge

Looking back, the three qualities that have made the biggest difference in my journey are:

Resilience. Life will test you, especially as an entrepreneur and single mother. Resilience isn’t just about surviving challenges, it’s about learning from them and using them to grow stronger.

Clarity of Purpose. Knowing why I do what I do has helped me stay focused, make better decisions, and not give up when things got hard.

Emotional Intelligence. In the travel industry, you’re dealing with people’s dreams, expectations, and sometimes fears. Being able to connect, listen, and understand others deeply has made all the difference.

My advice for anyone just starting is:
Take time to connect with yourself and understand your purpose. Don’t be afraid to fail — each obstacle is a lesson. And surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, especially when you start to doubt it.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to lead by example. Both my mother and father showed me what it means to work with integrity, to stay committed no matter how hard things get, and to never lose faith, in yourself, in your dreams, and in God.

Their strength, sacrifice, and discipline built the foundation I stand on today. Because of them, I learned that success isn’t just about money or recognition, it’s about creating a life with purpose, helping others, and honoring your values through every season of life.
