Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ana Pejic. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ana , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I have to admit that my work ethic took a long time to develop. Definitely, sports activities in my childhood helped me to get an impression of what discipline is. I started working quite early and had to combine both schooling and work, and at the time it seemed terrible, but I actually watched my mom who somehow managed to solve everything. And that’s how I started functioning like her. Sometimes there are days when I’m a little lazy and don’t feel like I would really enjoy working, but my work ethic comes first and the moment I think about my clients, somehow I change my approach to working. My goal is always to give my best in working with my clients, and it is important to me that they are satisfied, and it is also important to me that I am satisfied with what has been done. My job occupies an important and large position in my life. I believe that my clients really feel and appreciate this and that maybe that’s why it’s not a problem for them to wait a little longer to get an appointment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
From a young age, I felt that my intuition was more developed than it is of others, and I noticed quite early that my knowledge guided other people to make decisions more easily, to process certain situations in life, etc. In my early twenties, I accepted that the fact that I was a little different from others is actually my advantage. I think that was a key moment because then everything around me opened up, I began to rapidly absorb different knowledge, practice it and transfer it. My intuition leads me to go in a direction where I don’t experience work as a burden, but I really enjoy doing sessions with clients, different workshops, teaching different techniques and holding retreats. My work includes various life topics that we encounter, business activities and of course spiritual practices. All this is necessary in order to influence our being, and not just focus on one segment. We need to act on all our bodies if we want true change and be who we really are.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Definitely, my first choice is discipline. We need it in everything in which we see our success, regardless of whether we reach that success easier or harder.
Another important quality is to accept ourselves with existing knowledge and skills so that we can develop new ones even more easily and quickly and grow as a person.
The third thing is that we always follow and listen to ourselves, not others. No one else has the same knowledge, experiences or path as we do and cannot know better than ourselves what will bring us true happiness and satisfaction in life.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I’m overwhelmed by emotions or circumstances I do a few things. First, I take time for myself to focus on myself. Depending on the situation, I take a few hours or even days. During that time, I certainly meditate, I do introspection and certain techniques, which I teach, of programming my subconscious so that from now on I react in a different way, so that circumstances do not affect me the way they do, and with this techniques I give myself permission to change my previous programs and beliefs to be a better and more successful version of myself.
