Meet Anastasia Lander

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anastasia Lander. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anastasia below.

Hi Anastasia , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor, even though the path to get there was anything but clear. I got married young and had a baby early, and for a long time I believed that dream might no longer be attainable.

I worked in retail, then became a medical assistant at a reproductive clinic, followed by an unexpected chapter on Wall Street. I began as a trader and later worked as a broker, learning discipline, pressure, and resilience in a completely different world.

Everything shifted when I met a chiropractor. Until then, I didn’t even know this field existed. A chiropractor helped my daughter with health issues I never thought could be resolved, and that experience changed my trajectory entirely. It reconnected me to the purpose I had been carrying all along: helping people heal and live better lives. What once felt like a series of detours turned out to be the preparation that led me exactly where I was meant to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a perinatal and pediatric chiropractor with a deep passion for caring for families. Our office is home to four chiropractors and an acupuncturist, allowing us to support people of all ages and stages, from infants to seniors. While our team provides comprehensive care for the entire community, my personal focus is on families from preconception through postpartum, and from infancy through the teenage years.

My commitment to pediatric care is deeply personal. Seeing how chiropractic care transformed my daughter’s health changed everything for me. That experience inspired me to focus on helping other parents navigate similar challenges and to support children in their earliest stages of life.

Parenthood is beautiful, but it is also incredibly demanding, especially in those first few months. Parents want nothing more than to bond with their infants, yet it is not always easy. Sleepless nights, excessive crying, and constant fussiness can leave new parents feeling overwhelmed and discouraged.

Over the years, it has been profoundly rewarding to walk alongside families through these moments. I have had the privilege of helping parents reconnect with their babies, watching infants grow into children, and eventually seeing them return as adults with families of their own. As a chiropractor, it is an honor to help reset the nervous system and support families as they build healthier, more connected lives together.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the greatest impact on my journey are observation, empathy, and listening.
Observation taught me to look beyond symptoms. Bodies tell stories long before they speak. Posture, movement, breath, and behavior often reveal what words do not. The more I learned to truly observe, the better I became at understanding what someone actually needed.

Empathy allowed me to meet people where they are. Health journeys are personal, emotional, and often overwhelming, especially for parents and families. When people feel seen and understood, trust is built. And healing does not happen without trust.

Listening may be the most powerful skill of all. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason, use them proportionately. When we slow down and truly listen, patients tell us exactly what matters to them. Not just where it hurts, but how it is affecting their lives.

For those early in their journey, my advice is this:
Learn to listen before you try to fix. Observe before you assume. And remember that chiropractic is not just about getting people out of pain. It is about helping people begin or return to a healthier, more connected life. When you focus on the person in front of you rather than the problem alone, your impact will grow naturally.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been patience and presence.
2024 and 2025 have been incredibly difficult. I lost my mom and two dogs, my husband underwent two knee surgeries, and my son-in-law had heart surgery and is now awaiting a heart transplant. During this time, I’ve also become an almost full-time co-parent to my grandkids, supporting my daughter while my son-in-law has been hospitalized, all while juggling a full-time practice.

These experiences have taught me to slow down, hold tightly to memories, and truly appreciate each moment. I’ve learned not to postpone joy, connection, or important conversations, because tomorrow is never guaranteed. This season has reshaped how I show up for the people I love and how intentionally I live each day.
