We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andie Lee Gonzalez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andie Lee below.

Andie Lee , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I find my passion, my purpose,
In the roots of my upbringing, my community, my family.
In our culture, we gather close around family’s flame—
The greatest blessing, steady, constant.
Their love, endless and pure,
Though they may not understand the path I take,
They stand by me, unwavering,
Lifting me to heights I never dreamed.

They made me a dreamer, a believer,
Hopeful for humanity’s spark,
For the beauty in our shared existence.
And through their love, I feel seen,
A sense of belonging, no matter how different,
For in their eyes, I am enough and more.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As a proud co-founder and licensed registered dietitian, I’m dedicated to empowering communities through innovative health and nutrition education. I collaborate with healthcare professionals and other partners to bring impactful programs to life. What excites me most is creating initiatives that uplift underrepresented communities like our Hispanic/LatinX communities and help advance the field of food, nutrition and health. Currently, I’m focused on learning, curiosity and building to drive forward impactful strategies that support both local and national health efforts.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, resilience, adaptability, and advocacy were key to my journey as a first-generation college graduate, Latina dietitian, and business owner. Resilience helped me overcome challenges unique to being the first in my family to pursue higher education. Adaptability allowed me to navigate spaces where I was often the only one representing my community. Advocacy became essential in lifting others as I climbed. My advice is to embrace your unique voice, seek mentors who understand your challenges, and never be afraid to advocate for yourself and others—your presence is enough and perspective is powerful.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did was believe in me wholeheartedly. They showed me the power of courage, kindness, and unconditional love, even when they didn’t fully understand the path I was on. Their unwavering support gave me the confidence to dream bigger, push boundaries, and face challenges with strength. Knowing they were always there, no matter what, became my foundation, allowing me to grow into who I am today.
