Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Andre with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from my father. I knew my father worked hard all week and then on payday he would give his check to my mother so that she could take care of responsibilities.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I own and operate Arlanderz Chicken Joint a limited service restaurant. We specialize in making some of the best fried chicken and producing our own products. We currently have one brick and mortar dedicated to takeout here in Bedford Texas. We’re now working on expanding our catering options and getting a food truck.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Having integrity and to make sure that you believe in yourself. The restaurant industry is a hard industry so you need integrity to run the business so it can grow. Believe in yourself because hard times are going to come but it will help you keep fighting.
