Meet Andrea B. Denney

We recently connected with Andrea B Denney and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea B, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from a source beyond myself—a strength I can’t always explain, but one that carries me when my own is gone. In my darkest moments, support from loved ones and something greater than myself gave me power I never thought possible. I’ve learned it’s okay to lean on hope, community, and the unseen resources that help us endure and heal. It’s not just my strength—it’s so much more than that.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Andrea B. Denney, a grief-informed fine art photographer, author, and audio storyteller. My work centers on legacy—capturing and preserving memories so that no one is forgotten. I specialize in museum-quality portraiture and visual biography, helping families create heirloom art that honors both the seen and the deeply felt. What excites me most is the power of story to heal and connect. Every session, book, or podcast episode is focused on holding space for authentic emotion and helping others carry love and legacy forward. I combine empathy, artistry, and tech to create art and resources that make a lasting impact.
Recently, I’ve expanded my work with the “Remembrance Record” podcast and the “After the Goodbye” book & community, offering support to caregivers and grievers. Through live sessions, new workshops, and creative projects, I aim to offer comfort and connection at every stage of the journey

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
For me, the three most important qualities have been empathy, adaptability, and the willingness to ask for help. Empathy lets you connect with others and honor their stories, adaptability helps you face change with less fear, and asking for help is where real strength begins. My advice: Listen deeply, stay open to change, and remember—you’re never meant to do this alone. Each step forward matters.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who values authentic storytelling and wants to preserve their memories with meaning and heart. They’re open to being seen as they truly are—whether in moments of joy or vulnerability. If you’re ready for art that honors legacy, connection, and real emotion, you’re exactly who I love to work with.
