Meet Andrea Fairweather

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andrea Fairweather. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andrea below.

Hi Andrea, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my parents.
Both of them are from Belize. They came to the USA with a vision to build together.
As a result they modeled for me the basic essentials to achieve:
•Show up on time (my Dad is the greatest demonstrator of that practice. He was a military server).
•Work as a team
•Know your goal and aim for it

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a visionary. Always have been from a child. Once I get a thought into my mind I move on it.
Back in 1997 I created Fairweather Faces,Inc (Traveling Beauty Services). It was the trailblazing team of Artists whom solely traveled to the clients location to provide on site: Makeup, Nails, Hairstyling, Massage Therapy and Personal Makeup Shopping services. We literally created the mobile beauty industry.
We grew year by year to expand to all major USA cities.
We are celebrating our 26th year in business.
We have also grown via our cosmetic division:
Fairweather Faces (Color Coded Beauty®️ Kits)-patented step by step travel sized makeup tutorials
and our (Online Beauty / Grooming Lessons). This division took off during Covid and continues to grow.
We are delighted to greet both our
female and male clients online to guide their appearance concerns.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

If you have any desire (no matter the business type) to be an Entrepreneur I would highly encourage you to keep the following in mind:
• Move in silence (the naysayers are real and if given the opportunity can do a number on your mind and spirit. Do not give them an opening. They will see your work when the time is right).
•Save your funds. It is extremely important to have saved funds in order to be prepared for any unforeseen expenses.
•Hire slowly / Fire quickly. If any team member(s) actions are not in alinement with your vision please remove them immediately. The longer you wait the worst it will become.
•You will get tired but you must continue to move forward. Take that needed break whenever possible. Just stay the course.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Whenever I get overwhelmed or I am having a moment of peace I pray.
I take daily moments to acknowledge what has happened, the lessons learned and the grace being granted to me.
Yes my team and I work extremely hard but trust me it is all a direct reflection of Jesus’ guidance in all of it.
