Hi Andrea , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

As a Brazilian, I have always had a passion for helping people from other countries succeed in their careers in the U.S. Throughout my work with large multinational companies, I made it a priority to support others in their professional journeys. I deeply understand the challenges of working abroad and the struggles that come with it. This experience has inspired me to open my own business in 2024, allowing me to pursue my passion for empowering others and guiding them to achieve their career goals in a new environment.

A Prosper Results is a consulting business dedicated to international career development, specializing in preparing professionals from around the world to thrive in American companies. I find it incredibly rewarding to assist international clients in navigating the unique cultural differences they may face.

As the CEO and Founder of Prosper, I bring over 13 years of experience working with multinational companies in the U.S. I understand the nuances involved in crafting resumes for the North American job market compared to Latin America. Sometimes, just a few adjustments to my clients’ resumes can make a significant impact during the hiring process.

I also emphasize the advantages of being multilingual, helping clients recognize how their language skills can enhance their job prospects. At A Prosper Results, I am committed to empowering international professionals to achieve their career aspirations and succeed in their new environments.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Throughout my journey, three key qualities have significantly influenced my ability to help others:

Service Orientation: I genuinely enjoy serving and assisting others, which fuels my passion for helping international professionals navigate their careers.

Leadership, Coaching, and Mentorship: Holding certifications in these areas has enhanced my skills and provided me with valuable tools to guide my clients effectively.

Global Experience and Cultural Awareness: My extensive experience working in diverse international environments has given me a unique understanding of cultural differences—an invaluable asset in my consulting work.

Speaking three languages—Portuguese, English, and Spanish—is another essential skill that has allowed me to connect with clients from various backgrounds.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace and take pride in who you are. Many of my clients feel self-conscious about their accents, but I remind them that being multilingual is a tremendous advantage. Celebrate your unique background and use it to empower your career. Focus on continuous learning and seek opportunities to develop your skills and cultural understanding, as this will enrich your professional journey and enhance your ability to help others
