We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andrea Oliver. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andrea below.
Andrea, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
As young girl who struggled with being shy, people pleasing, and reserved, it took a little while for me to develop or blossom into the woman I am today. I learned to embrace my self for being different. I grew to appreciate that my differences is what makes me special and unlike any other person. I give myself loving affirmations like “I love myself, I trust myself, I appreciate myself” at least 5x in one sitting. Chanting these affirmation like a mantra have helped me develop the courage I needed to stand out in the crowd. I advocate for myself, and I surround myself with people who genuinely love and care for me. I live by the saying ” Those that matter don’t mind, and those that mind.. don’t matter” This is what helps decide who will be apart of my friend group and support circle which in turn, helps me receive the love that I need from the people around me in a self fulfilling way.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience, perseverance, and self love are the three main qualities that will be useful in any capacity in life. Focusing on yourself and loving others is the best way to put positive energy into the universe which will come back to you full circle. Having a dream and understanding that you are ultimately in control of your own destiny is the best way to be impactful in your journey. Always maintaining positive thoughts, being optimistic, and being gracious will go along way in life.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Nicole Richies book “The truth about diamonds” is a timeless book. This book is about a young woman finding her way thru Hollywood in the Y2k era. In some ways it was her autobiography but names were fictitious. As you can image, there was a lot of opportunities presented to her, thru friends, family and and associates that were good opportunities but also had consequences. It was valuable and impactful for me because it helped me overcome the fear of taking risk. Life is about choices but ultimately life is what you make it.
