Meet Andrea Pernia

We recently connected with Andrea Pernia and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Andrea with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I inherit my work ethic from my parents. My mother has been a commerce her entire life, owned a clothing store and a small restaurant back in Venezuela, and she built both businesses by herself. My dad has a 20+ year career in the corporate world and is one of the most dedicated and professional person i know.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a professional photographer and videographer that was born in caracas, Venezuela. I currently work and reside in Atlanta, Georgia. After studying Social Communications with a special mention in Visual arts, i have been developing an eye for color photography while she creates compelling imagery across the genres of portrait, fashion, branding, music, food, documentary and street photography. The best way to express myself has always been through visuals and i do it through warm moods mixed up with exotic people and locations.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My patience, respectful demeanor and creativity helped me grow into what i am now. What nobody tells you about this craft or any artistic craft is that its a constant struggle and it takes a lot of work to finally find your own style and way of telling a story. There will be lots of ups and downs throughout the way and you gotta keep trusting yourself in order to overcome them

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My parents have always support my on career decision i have taken and i will forever be grateful for that. It gave me the confidence i needed to keep up the good work.
