We recently connected with Andréa Renee and have shared our conversation below.
Andréa, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence has developed over time through experience, consistency, and a strong foundation in my faith. Spending time with Jesus has always grounded me and reminded me that my identity isn’t tied to titles or external validation, which has allowed me to move with a greater sense of peace and clarity.
Professionally, stepping into new environments pushed me to grow quickly. From my time as an NFL cheerleader to becoming an instructor and eventually a co-owner of New Boots Line Dancing, each season required me to show up before I necessarily felt ready. That repetition—showing up, learning, and improving—played a major role in building both my confidence and self-trust.
I’ve also learned the importance of focusing on what I bring to the table rather than comparing myself to others. Everyone has a unique perspective and set of strengths, and leaning into that has helped me feel more secure in who I am, both personally and professionally.
Today, my confidence comes from knowing that I’ve done the work, staying grounded in my faith, and continuing to grow through every new challenge.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a Co-Owner and the COO of New Boots Line Dancing, Nashville’s original private line dance studio. We specialize in creating custom, high-energy dance experiences for groups celebrating everything from bachelorette parties and birthdays to corporate events and brand activations. Our goal is simple: to make line dancing approachable, fun, and memorable for everyone, regardless of experience level.
What makes what we do especially exciting is the ability to tailor each session to the client. From the music selection to the overall vibe, every experience is designed to feel personal. Our instructors are not only talented dancers, but also bring a level of energy and hospitality that helps guests feel comfortable, confident, and fully present in the moment.
As a brand, we’re proud to be part of Nashville’s culture while also continuing to expand beyond it. We’ve recently brought New Boots to New York City, which has been an exciting step in growing our reach and introducing line dancing to new audiences in a fresh way.
At its core, New Boots is about connection—bringing people together through movement, music, and shared experience. Whether someone walks in knowing every step or none at all, we want them to leave feeling more confident, more connected, and like they were part of something special.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are discipline, adaptability, and communication.
Discipline has been essential in building momentum. Staying committed to the work, even when there isn’t immediate reward, creates a strong foundation and allows progress to compound over time.
Adaptability has allowed me to navigate growth with more ease. As the business has evolved, being open to change and willing to adjust has made it possible to meet new opportunities without losing direction.
Communication has been a key part of maintaining strong relationships. Clear, direct communication with partners, team members, and clients helps create alignment and trust, which is critical in any collaborative environment.
For those early in their journey, I’d recommend focusing on building habits that support discipline, staying open to change, and being intentional with how you communicate. These are skills that strengthen over time and have a lasting impact.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We’re always open to thoughtful partnerships and collaborations that align with what we’re building at New Boots. We especially enjoy working with brands, event planners, and companies that value creating unique, engaging experiences for their audiences.
Our specialty is bringing people together through movement in a way that feels both approachable and high-energy, so collaborations that allow us to do that—whether through corporate events, brand activations, or curated group experiences—are always a great fit.
More than anything, we look for partners who value creativity, professionalism, and a strong sense of hospitality. When those elements align, it creates an experience that feels seamless and memorable for everyone involved.
