Confidence and self-esteem are like an ongoing adventure, a journey we all take in this rollercoaster of life. With every twist and turn, we learn to steer through new experiences and challenges. Right now, I stand at a point where I can genuinely say, ‘This is the most confident version of me.’ It’s not a boast, but a realization that the tough experiences I’ve weathered have played a role in shaping who I am today.

Loving the skin I’m in and fully embracing my true self are my standout victories. These weren’t handed to me; they were hard-fought lessons. What brings me incredible joy is knowing I can open up about my journey with clients. I want them to feel inspired to lead their most fulfilling lives, recognizing that every twist and turn contributes to a beautifully unique story.

I’ve always had a deep passion for working with youth, stemming from my diverse background in pediatric specialties, athletics, and first response as a firefighter. This desire to blend my interests and make a significant impact led to the creation of Team Testa Wellness.

In the realm of youth wellness support, options can be scarce. At Team Testa Wellness, we thrive on piecing together customized solutions that empower our clients to live their best, most well-rounded lives possible.

Our focus at Team Testa Wellness is on teens and young adults, guiding them towards developing confidence and resilience through a unique blend of wellness education, life coaching, and fitness training. What excites me the most is the opportunity to work with individuals with special needs like Down Syndrome and Autism, as well as those dealing with anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, ODD, and OCD.

Every client, regardless of their background or challenges, incorporates fitness into their coaching. Movement is not just a part of our approach; it’s imperative. Alongside fitness, we craft personalized wellness plans, meeting each client exactly where they are in their journey.

What I find most exciting and special about our approach is the joy we bring into our clients’ lives. Our coaching sessions are more than just routines; they are filled with laughter and fun. We truly believe that infusing enjoyment into fitness and wellness is the secret sauce that propels our clients to success in achieving their goals.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, I’ve pinpointed three key pillars that have been pivotal in shaping my growth:

1. Embrace self-discovery: Understanding yourself inside and out is the compass guiding you through life’s twists and turns.
2. Define your boundaries and values: Identifying and practicing your boundaries and values is like setting the roadmap to your authenticity. It’s not just about knowing them; it’s about embodying them in every facet of your journey.
3. Cultivate a support system: As social beings, our journey is inherently entwined with those around us. Whether in personal or professional realms, leaning on a supportive network makes the path smoother.

For those starting their journey towards confidence and resilience, I’d recommend beginning with self-discovery. It’s the foundation upon which the other qualities are built. Get to know your strengths, weaknesses, and what truly sets your soul on fire. This self-awareness will not only guide you in setting authentic boundaries and values but will also pave the way for building a robust support system. Remember, the journey may be yours alone, but having supporters by your side can make all the difference.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My path to self-discovery, setting boundaries, and embracing my values has been a shared adventure with an amazing team of supporters. From mentors who guided me to friends who cheered me on, and a community that stood by me through challenges, each person played a vital role. Their wisdom and encouragement created a powerful synergy, highlighting the significance of a collaborative journey in both personal and professional growth. Together, we’ve not just achieved individual milestones, but we’ve also built a foundation, drawing strength from the close-knit community that envelops me.
