Meet Andrea Ward

We were lucky to catch up with Andrea Ward recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Bring bold, brave, confident when I enter any room because there’ isn’t anyone else like me or can attempt to duplicate my gifts and talents. Just remembering where I first started at the beginning of my career versus now means there’s been a lot of growth, resilience and knowledge with a skill set of my capabilities. Even though there maybe very few rooms with people that look like me but that’s actually One of my super power and strengths about me & why I inspire so many in this industry. In stead of trying to fit in I’d rather fit out is what makes me successful.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

She made a powerful debut as a film director with her upcoming award-winning feature film “Reborn Redemption.” This action- packed superhero movie sheds light on the struggles faced by communities in Los Angeles, California. Andrea’s storytelling ability and dedication to authenticity have earned her numerous nominations and wins for her recent short film, “Deception Street,” which was inspired by true events.
Driven by her personal experiences, Andrea is committed to addressing the issue of domestic violence. She actively advocates for change and has launched her program called “LIFE AFTER THE STORM.” This initiative aims to create a safe learning environment for families affected by domestic violence, using the arts of writing, music, and film to inspire, teach, and mentor individuals.
