Meet Andrew Domville

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andrew Domville. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andrew below.

Andrew, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
Inspiration is a luxury and not a necessity. Creating a pathway to a goal should not be predicated on a particular feeling; instead, it should be based on a desired outcome. Waiting for those bursts of inspiration to stimulate you is a form of procrastination, a brilliant display of perfectionism. And in my opinion, perfectionism is the absolute killer of progress. My self-discipline was birthed from an inner determination to be unquestionably the best version of me I can be. This is what drives me. I’m disciplined because I always strive to be better than I was the day before.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I Founded REVVIRE, our media production company, alongside Co-founder Mitchell Waugh in January 2022. REVVIRE is a full-service media company based in Southern California and South Florida. We are acutely focused on global impact and fostering an exceedingly inclusive community within the media industry. REVVIRE produces and markets media for the various brands, agencies, and independent artists we partner with. We’re well known for solving visibility and marketing issues by generating considerable awareness through media production. REVVIRE also has a designated division devoted to producing avant-garde content centered on social commentary and entertainment. We have an exhilarating slate of unorthodox content that we can’t wait to market in 2024.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Self-assurance, passion, and integrity. These three qualities have had such a profound influence on my life journey. Without these three attributes, I would not be where I am today. Life has a knack for throwing you a few curve balls now and again, and sometimes, you can be thrown off balance, but you have to be self-assured in the decisions you make and the path you’ve chosen to go down. The minute you begin to second-guess yourself, things go awry. Full, unbridled belief in yourself is needed to achieve the extraordinary. Passion keeps you engaged in your purpose. This ongoing spark will inevitably fuel your genius. And when doused, it’s also valuable, staging itself as a signifier to self-reflect. And if you’re courageous enough to determine the cause, you will have the capability to reignite the flame, and it will be a more concentrated flame. Integrity is your suit of armor, your protection against the world. With it, there’s no goal known to man you can’t accomplish. It’ll keep you upright, giving you significant reach over your competitors. And if you’re just getting started, be willing to learn from failure and experience. They’re the best teachers.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
As a child, I had numerous outlets. Poetry, fencing, music, you name it. I wanted to do it all, and I did. My mother, Frances Dell, and my father, Mark Domville, encouraged me to pursue all my aspirations. They gave me the autonomy to dream massively and not be restrained by what society deemed typical for a black boy growing up in South Florida. My parents allowed me to be myself and loved me for it. Their unwavering belief in me enabled me to believe in myself. I am who I am today because of my parents. And because of my parents, I will revolutionize the media industry.
