Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andrew & Nikolas Justad & Spaulding. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Andrew & Nikolas, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
For us our generosity comes from our family, for both Nikolas and Andrew family roots and experiences have shaped a philosophy of kindness and unconditional love for the world around them.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Our passion is bringing plant based foods and sustainable business practices to the communities we live in. For us Durham, NC was a great place to bring locally grown organic foods, accentuated by family restaurants made Vegan!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
We learned early that we were only going to be as good as our team. Even with two of us we couldn’t do it alone. So our best advice and lesson learned is to cultivate a team that works with purpose, joy and cleanliness in everything they do.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We often collaborate with our community. Whether it’s local food vendors from Durham, plant based celebrities like Grey from Plant Based Drippin, local thought leaders and influencers, or just our local community of plant based food lovers! It’s important to serve and work with the community you operate in, this is what gives us the passion to work as hard as we do, because in the end we’re creating the world we want to live in ourselves, and doing so with other plant based people from our community.
