Meet Andria Singletary

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andria Singletary. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Andria, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
As a mom of two young children (1 and 3 years old), a wife, and a business owner, I had to learn to prioritize self-care. I also had to figure out what self-care can look like for me based on my current season of life. So often, as moms, we are told to schedule monthly massages or plan trips with our girlfriends as a form of self-care when in reality, we don’t have the time, capacity, or support with the kids to be able to realistically do those things. For some of us, those things may not even be the most appealing way to pour into ourselves on a regular basis. Self-care for me has become taking nightly bubble baths while my husband gets the kids down for the night, journaling, and reading for pleasure. After I became a mom, one of the first things I let go of was reading for enjoyment because I didn’t have the mental capacity to read. Now, reading for enjoyment is a way for me to pour into myself as a woman and step away from my role as wife, mama, caregiver, business owner, and all of the things. I am not able to show up as my best self as a mom, wife, or business owner if I am operating from an empty cup. By prioritizing my self-care and making it a routine, I ensure that my cup is full, which allows me to better serve my family and my clients.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a life and business coach for mom business owners. I support my clients with simplifying and streamlining their businesses in a way that allows them to have more flexibility and time freedom to be the present mamas they want to be while building a profitable business from home. We set their businesses up to fit their current season of life, allowing them to build their businesses without stress or overwhelm. I also have a podcast production company where I support mompreneurs and female business owners with creating a podcast that generates leads for their businesses and positions them as the experts in their industry. What makes me most excited about what I do is being able to support moms with building their dream businesses, making an impact both inside and outside of their homes, and empowering them to integrate motherhood and entrepreneurship in a way that doesn’t lead to burnout. I support my clients with this through my Life in Seasons 1:1 Coaching and my 7 Day Pod Launch Get it Done Week.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that have been the most impactful in my journey are resilience, taking imperfect action, and a willingness to invest in support. Entrepreneurship is challenging, and it’s even more challenging when you’re doing it with young children at home. It involves a lot of testing to see what works for you. If every “test” doesn’t go the way you planned, then you may determine entrepreneurship is not for you, which results in you quitting. When you are resilient and keep testing, you will find the thing that works for you. A big part of entrepreneurship is doing things you have never done before. If you’re a recovering perfectionist like me, then the need to make sure everything is just right can keep you from taking any action. Take the messy action now, and then clean it up as you learn and grow. The main thing is that you take action. One of the things that held me back the most in my business was wasting so much time trying to figure it out on my own. It wasn’t until I invested in a coach who helped me to see what changes I needed to make that I started hitting my income goals and signing my dream clients. Investing can be scary, but it is so worth it because it helps you get to your goals faster than fumbling about in the dark.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I love to collaborate with other coaches and service providers who serve mom business owners. Collaborations I am interested in are podcast swaps, email freebie swaps, providing guest trainings in your private communities, bundle collaborations, and speaking at virtual summits and events.
