We were lucky to catch up with Angel Langarica recently and have shared our conversation below.
Angel , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
Hello world my name is Angel Lagarica aka BounceCX. The way I keep my creativity alive is to never lose the inner kid in me who had dreams and just went for it. Never take myself so serious that I forget why I started in the first place. Taking risks is part of the story. I can live with failure what I refuse to live with is endless regrets.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Focused of growing as an artist I represent Cali-Xpress a music group which consisted of 3 members. Now I am a solo artist yet still in musical collaboration with member C.P.(Cold Piece). Grew up loving the West Coast sound in 2002 met Rasan Aycox producer / Artist who introduced me to rap ciphers and later taught me how write Bars compose hooks and then doing an actual whole solo album. Independent Mexican out of South Bay San Diego I have to and continue to show my versatility from doing songs that sound nothing like the rest and also doing songs in Spanish as well.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
3 most impactful skills I’ve learned is just being consistent with the music. If you asked me today Bounce if you had to go the rest of your life without T.V. or music which one you picking? Hands down I’m picking music all day. So everyday it’s listen to Beats write verses and freestyle. Another one is failing and learning things along the way that at the time I thought would break me only made me more resilient

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Biggest growth or improvement has been my confidence in my music and also my presence as a stand up and solid guy who will never go with what the masses want and if it makes me unpopular I would never put a price of my character or integrity
