We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angel Morgan . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angel below.
Angel, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?
I was shown a long time ago that there are no such things as problems in life, only opportunities to learn and grow.
Holding onto that knowledge guides my life and gets me past any perceived fears I might have in most situations. It frees me to challenge myself on all levels knowing that no matter the outcome I, and those around me, will learn and be better for it.
That awareness allows me to take the risks I do as a duathlete, mother, business woman, when I get up in front of audiences, or work privately with clients as a psychic and animal communicator.
I have learned that even those moments that may fall short of my expectations have something valuable to teach me.
Over the last 25 years I have developed unwavering faith that I am not alone in my journey. I have support systems both here and on the other side that have allowed me to feel safe making the choices in my career and lifestyle that I lead.
My team of loved ones, colleagues, and spirits help me better each achievement, and build on them one by one.
Strengthening these bonds is another key that allows me to reach beyond my own expectations in order to hone my skills and passions, taking my work beyond the perceived limitations society may have for those with our particular abilities.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
This is a uniquely special year for me. I am not only celebrating 25 years as a psychic, animal communicator and medium, but a life long dream!
I was a non-believer. I owned my own theatre company as a young adult, and like most people dismissed any thought to ghostly encounters as a child.
One day, In my mid twenties, I found myself in a metaphysical store speaking with the shop keep. After a brief conversation, she told me I was psychic.
There happened to be a reader there so I decided to treat myself. She told me this would be my life. I thought she was nuts! 6 weeks later through magickal circumstances, and a wild trip to Guatemala (where I encountered a shaman who said I would talk to animals that I also thought was insane) I was working at that same little shop.
I shadowed and trained with the owner. To this day they are my second family.
They came into my life at the right time. I had a hard time finding those I could connect with, especially women. I always felt on the outside. I had now found my tribe. Strong, beautiful, earthy and magical in so many ways! Willing to share the secrets of the old ways, I fit somewhere!
My daily life was stronger too. I started mountain biking, working out again, I needed to balance the spiritual with the physical world and I was loving it!!!
During and after, my adventures were varied and incredible. I met and worked with medicine people from around the world, explored spirits, mediumship, and talked to animals. And it’s now expanded into being on an amazing paranormal team (Canadian Paranormal Investigations)…It has taught me that “the only limit we have, is the one we place on ourselves”
Now, after 25 years reading for audiences on my own tv show, being the in-house psychic for Canadas largest radio station for 7 years…I am finally making my way back to my original dream of being broadway bound!
But not as I originally intended…
Before this incarnation of psychic, I trained as a classical actor. Shakespeare and his contemporaries were my lot.
Moliere, Musicals, costumes and scripts were my life, and all the while wondering which character I would grace the stages of New York playing…..only to find that it would be the one character I never imagined…me.
On my 25th year as an energetic, I am producing my own 5 show tour which will take me to theatres in Canada, the Catskills and New York City! My dream come true on a very special anniversary and on my birthday to boot! How Kool is the universe to plan that!
Alongside this, my third book will come out this year, and so many more stories will be heard through private readings all over the world virtually and in my offices.
What a weird and wonderful world I live in and want to share with all of you!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My commitment. Whatever I have done in my life I have always been all in. That, I think is my greatest strength and quality.
Being well rounded. It helps you to be relatable. From history to art and technology, it is important to understand the world you live in and the one you came from in order to see what the future can bring for you and for others.
My ability to communicate in a fun and relaxed way is the skill that I rely on to help people to be more open to experiences I offer.
Be worldly. Explore and experience life to its fullest extent, read books, travel, converse, eat new foods, get outside your box in as many ways as you can!
Those life experiences will help you empathize with others and relate to them in ways that can deepen your encounters, connections, and ability to serve no matter what your chosen profession or passion.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My mother told me something recently that really helped me understand why I never give up and make the best of any situation I am in.
There is a story in my family. The night my mother met her future in-laws, her mother, my grandmother, gave her earrings that were in the family for three generations. Nervous, my mother accidentally flushed one down the toilet. Pale and shaking she went to my grandmother expecting the worst.
My grandmother laughed and said “now your grandmothers will look good in heaven” then she asked for the other earring. My mother asked why and she just said “give it to me”.
On my mother’s wedding day she gave her a gift. A necklace made from the earring that remained. It was to show that we can make the best of any situation. Not to worry, Everything can be overcome and transformed.
I live by this. No such things as problems in life, only opportunities to learn and grow.
