Meet Angel Princess

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angel Princess. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Angel, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My self-esteem and confidence comes from my own personal struggles as a kid. I was a very shy and quiet girl who never got into any trouble and was pretty obedient. Didn’t have too many friends either, only one best friend here and there. Ever since my kindergarten days, girls have always projected jealousy towards me because of my looks. My mother is East Indian and my father is Caucasian so I tend to be more on the exotic side which is rare. Being a mixed child in the 80’s and 90’s wasn’t as common as it is nowadays. When I was around 10 or 11 years old, my mother put me in state beauty pageants to build up my confidence. I felt glamorous and would eventually realize that beauty came from within and not from the outside. No amount of makeup would make a girl beautiful if their heart wasn’t kind. My mother always taught me to never worry about what other people think of me and to always stay true to myself. I was definitely more outgoing as a teenager because I started homeschooling. I didn’t have the pressure of my peers making fun of me or judging me like they did in school, so I felt good being my authentic self. Now, as an adult, my confidence radiates and shines through as soon as I walk into a room. Unfortunately, I tend to immediately deal with a lot of jealousy and insecurities from other females. I was raised between my two brothers so I was around boys my entire life. There isn’t much competition with men, like there is with women. I teach all my girl friends to love who they are just the way God made them. As long as you don’t care what people think about you, then you’ll be fine. Confidence is something powerful and it comes from within. A lot of girls nowadays get plastic surgery in order to look beautiful but that doesn’t necessarily determine beauty in my opinion. Overall, I love to inspire other females to feel beautiful in their own skin just the way God created them to be. Being an original is far better than being an imitation of someone else!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m an actress, model and producer. My movie called The Paradise Motel is streaming on Prime where I have a supporting role, on top of a producing credit. I recently started writing my own scripts. Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of being in front of the camera. I love to entertain people and I hope one day my films can resonate with my fans. I enjoy storytelling so that’s why I decided to pursue a dream in the film industry! I also enjoyed playing dress up and make believe as a kid so being an actress is a dream come true. Always follow your passion and never give up on your dreams!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’d say the best skills to focus on is communication, creativity and networking. Within the entertainment industry these are important qualities to possess in order to help you succeed.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

The number one obstacle that I’m facing right now within my career is the writers strike obviously. I am a part of the union with SAG AFTRA so we support the writers. I’m trying to focus on writing scripts myself right now too since I am unable to audition or work on set and I’d hate if I wasn’t getting paid a decent amount of salary for my work so I totally understand how the writers feel. Without the script writers, we really have no television shows or films so it’s important to support our fellow industry professionals!
