Angel, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
When queried about the origins of my optimism, I reflect upon a journey of self-awareness. Initially, I harbored the belief that I epitomized optimism, only to realize in hindsight that my perspective might have been somewhat naive. My life’s trajectory has been characterized by episodes akin to the narrative arc of the first Rocky movie. In moments of apparent defeat, I’ve experienced strokes of luck that provided me with the resilience to persevere. However, it’s crucial to note that these instances did not culminate in outright victory but rather granted me the opportunity to continue the struggle.
During my formative years, these incremental triumphs fueled my optimism, imbuing me with a sense of hope and possibility. Nevertheless, as the passage of time has brought with it maturity and experience, my once unwavering optimism has gradually evolved into a tempered skepticism. While I retain a profound belief in my capabilities and maintain a reservoir of confidence, my perspective has grown more nuanced.
Today, I approach challenges with a blend of confidence and caution, acknowledging the myriad variables that influence the outcome of any endeavor. While I remain steadfast in my belief that I possess the ability to surmount obstacles, I am cognizant of the uncertainties that underpin success. This evolution in outlook signifies not a diminishment of my ambition, but rather a refinement of my understanding of the complexities inherent in the pursuit of success.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge stand out as profoundly impactful: early exposure to computers and programming, studying psychology, and embracing a willingness to take bold risks.
Firstly, my early immersion in computers and programming laid the foundation for my understanding of technology and problem-solving. My advice to those at the beginning of their journey is to embrace curiosity and explore various technologies and programming languages. Dive into coding projects, seek out online resources and communities, and don’t be afraid to experiment and make mistakes along the way. Building a strong technical foundation early on will open doors to countless opportunities in the future.
Secondly, studying psychology provided me with valuable insights into human behavior, decision-making, and interpersonal dynamics. My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals is to develop a deep understanding of human psychology and communication skills. Take courses in psychology, read books on behavioral economics, and actively observe and engage with people from diverse backgrounds. Empathy, emotional intelligence, and effective communication are invaluable assets in any field and can greatly enhance your ability to connect with others and navigate complex situations.
Finally, embracing a willingness to take bold risks has been instrumental in my journey, despite its occasional recklessness. My advice to those starting out is to cultivate a healthy appetite for calculated risks and resilience in the face of failure. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, seize opportunities, and learn from both successes and setbacks. Surround yourself with mentors and peers who encourage and support your ambitions, but also challenge you to push your boundaries and strive for greatness.
In summary, early exposure to technology, a foundation in psychology, and a fearless attitude towards risk-taking have been key pillars in my journey. My advice to others is to nurture these qualities, continuously seek knowledge and growth, and never underestimate the power of perseverance and determination in achieving your goals.

I find solace in activities that bring me joy and relaxation. Whether it’s shooting hoops on the basketball court, savoring a delicious burger at my beloved spot burger-chan, diving into the immersive realms of video games, or cherishing quality moments with my friends Branka (wife/BFF) and/or Efrain (BFF), engaging in what I love consistently restores my equilibrium and offers renewed perspective.
