Meet Angela Bell

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angela Bell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Angela, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

Honestly, being the only one in the room that looks like me has pushed me to see it as a strength instead of a setback. I make sure I’m prepared and confident in what I bring to the table, and I’ve learned to trust that my perspective adds value because it’s different. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me resilience, how to speak up even when it feels uncomfortable, and how to own my place in the room. Over time, I’ve found that those differences often become the very thing that helps me connect with others and contribute in a unique way.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a physician and certified clinical sleep specialist, and my work focuses on helping people improve their health, performance, and overall quality of life through better sleep. What excites me most is watching the shift that happens when people realize sleep isn’t a luxury, it’s a powerful tool for success, resilience, and well-being.

Through my brand, The Solution is Sleep, I share education, resources, and strategies designed to make rest accessible, practical, and guilt free, especially for busy professionals and moms. I love combining my medical expertise with my personal journey to connect with people in a way that feels both evidence-based and relatable.

Right now, I’m expanding my reach through corporate wellness programs, speaking engagements, and social media content, while also developing digital resources that give people step-by-step support to sleep better. It’s an exciting time to see sleep becoming a bigger part of the wellness conversation, and I’m proud to be helping lead that shift.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The first is resilience, because there will always be obstacles, and learning to adapt without losing focus is key. The second is communication, since being able to translate complex science into clear, relatable language has allowed me to connect with people and make a real impact. The third is a commitment to lifelong learning, because the science of sleep and wellness is always evolving, and staying current keeps me effective.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to intentionally practice these skills. Build resilience by stepping outside of your comfort zone and viewing challenges as opportunities. Strengthen communication by finding ways to share what you know in simple, relatable terms. And keep learning by staying curious and open to growth in your field.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to integrate my personal journey as a new mom with my professional work as a sleep specialist. It has challenged me to practice what I teach, to set boundaries, and to find balance in a new season of life. That growth has made me more relatable, more intentional in the way I show up for others, and even more passionate about helping people see that rest is both possible and necessary no matter what stage of life they are in.
