Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angela Channell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Angela, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
My self-discipline comes from the strong, determined women in my life and the challenges I’ve faced on my own journey. Growing up, I watched my mother embody resilience and perseverance. She left behind her career as a doctor in Colombia to start over in the U.S., taking on jobs like cleaning houses and delivering newspapers while studying for her medical board exams. Despite countless obstacles, she never wavered. Her strength shaped my understanding of hard work and determination and inspired me to face my own challenges with courage.
For a long time, though, I struggled to find peace within myself. On the outside, I was achieving so much—but inside, I was lost, and the life I had built eventually fell apart. I hit rock bottom, facing the reality of my addiction and the parts of myself I had been running from.
Sobriety became the turning point in my life. It wasn’t just about letting go of alcohol—it was about learning how to live life. I realized that I didn’t need to have all the answers and that there was a greater plan for me, even if I couldn’t see it clearly at the time. Acceptance became my anchor—acceptance of who I am, where I am, and the challenges that come my way. Through this surrender, I found peace.
Self-discipline for me is rooted in this faith. It’s about showing up each day with intention, trusting that even small steps will lead to growth, and staying open to life’s uncertainties. Sobriety has taught me that discipline isn’t rigid or perfect—it’s about consistency, grace, and letting go of control. When I focus on the things I can do today, I can move forward with clarity and purpose.
Today, as the Practice Director of Euphoria Medspa, I carry these lessons into everything I do. Euphoria represents so much more than just a business; it’s a tribute to my family’s resilience and the transformative power of self-discovery and healing. It’s a place where I can help others find the confidence and strength I’ve worked so hard to cultivate within myself.
My self-discipline is not just about achieving goals—it’s about living in alignment with my values, honoring the faith that guides me, and embracing every moment as part of a greater journey. It comes from honoring my own path—embracing the messy, imperfect parts of my story and turning them into something meaningful.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As the Practice Director of Euphoria Medspa, my passion lies in helping people reconnect with their confidence, wellness, and sense of self through integrative aesthetics. At Euphoria, we go beyond surface-level treatments. We believe that feeling good in your skin is about more than aesthetics—it’s about empowering individuals to embrace their unique journey and prioritize their overall well-being.

We also integrate cutting-edge services like RF microneedling, HydraFacials with customizable add-ons, and skin-focused supplements to provide a comprehensive approach to self-care.
What excites me most is how these offerings tie into our overall mission. Whether you’re exploring your confidence, recovering from life’s stressors, or seeking to enhance your wellness, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Why I Love What I Do
Euphoria Medspa is deeply personal to me. It’s not just a business; it’s a reflection of my family’s legacy and our shared passion for healing and transformation. Together with my fiancée and mother, we’ve built a space that embodies those values and provides clients with the tools to embrace their own power.
At Euphoria, we focus on more than just treatments—we focus on transformation. Helping someone walk away feeling more confident, more at peace with themselves, and more aligned with their wellness goals is what drives me every day. We celebrate body positivity, individuality, and the journey to self-acceptance because we believe everyone deserves to feel good in their skin, exactly as they are.
If you’re ready to prioritize yourself, your wellness, and your confidence, we invite you to experience Euphoria. It’s more than a medspa—it’s a sanctuary for growth, self-care, and empowerment.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities have been essential to my journey: resilience, authenticity, and adaptability. Each of these has played a major role in shaping who I am and how I approach life, work, and challenges.
Resilience
Resilience has been the foundation of everything for me. I’ve had to overcome personal battles, including my journey through recovery, and build a life that aligns with who I truly am. Watching my mother rebuild her career in the U.S. taught me early on that challenges are inevitable, but they don’t define you. It’s how you respond to them that matters.
Advice: Life will test you, but you have to remind yourself that the tough times don’t last forever. Lean into your support system, ask for help when you need it, and give yourself permission to fail—it’s part of the process. Resilience is built by getting back up, even if it’s messy.
Authenticity
For a long time, I felt like I had to hide parts of myself to fit in. Accepting my identity as a queer Latina wasn’t easy, but it changed everything for me. The moment I stopped apologizing for who I am, my relationships deepened, my work became more meaningful, and I found a confidence I didn’t know I had.
Advice: Be yourself—even if it feels uncomfortable at first. People are drawn to authenticity, and when you’re honest about who you are, you create space for real connections. Take time to figure out what matters to you, and don’t let anyone else’s opinions dictate how you live your life.
Adaptability
If there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that nothing ever goes exactly as planned. From running a food truck to founding a medspa, my journey has been full of twists and turns. I’ve learned to embrace change and stay open to new opportunities, even when they don’t look like what I imagined.
Advice: Don’t get stuck on what you think things “should” be. Be curious, keep learning, and trust that every detour has something to teach you. The more you adapt, the more you’ll grow—and sometimes, the best things in life happen when you let go of the plan and just go with it.
Final Thoughts
My advice for anyone early in their journey is this: trust yourself. Life isn’t a straight path, and it’s okay to take your time figuring it out. Stay resilient, embrace who you are, and be willing to pivot when things don’t go as planned. Every challenge, every win, and every stumble is part of the story—and your story is worth telling.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, the first thing I do is pause. For a long time, I used to push through the chaos, thinking I had to keep going no matter what—but I’ve learned that stepping back and taking a moment to breathe is far more productive. Overwhelm often comes when I’m trying to take on too much at once or when I’m stuck in the mindset that everything has to be perfect.
For me, grounding myself in the present moment is key. I’ll take a walk, drink a big glass of water, or even just sit still and focus on my breathing. It helps me reset and reminds me that I don’t have to tackle everything all at once. Breaking things into smaller, manageable steps is another strategy that works for me. I ask myself, “What’s the next right thing I can do?” and I focus on that instead of the big picture, which can feel overwhelming.
Faith is also a huge part of how I navigate overwhelm. I remind myself that I’m not in control of everything—and that’s okay. There’s a bigger plan at work, even if I can’t see it in the moment. Letting go of the need to have all the answers and trusting in a higher power gives me peace. I’ll often reflect on gratitude during these moments—what’s going right, what I’m thankful for—and it shifts my perspective.
Advice:
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start by giving yourself permission to pause. You don’t have to have it all figured out right away. Break things down, take a deep breath, and ask for help if you need it. Overwhelm can feel isolating, but you’re never truly alone. Trust that things will fall into place as they’re meant to, and focus on taking one step at a time.
Most importantly, be kind to yourself. Overwhelm doesn’t mean you’re failing; it means you care deeply about what you’re doing. Honor that, take a moment to recalibrate, and move forward with grace.
