Meet Angela Childs

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angela Childs. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angela below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Angela with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I grew up in Nebraska, both of my parents were teachers and raised on farms, so my work ethic absolutely comes from them! They were hard workers and expected the same from my brother and I. We both played sports and were in extracurricular activities, when we didn’t make a team or get a starting position, their answer was always, you need to work harder. So work ethic has really been instilled in me and is a huge part of who I am and why I’ve had success throughout my life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I opened Love Always Boutique in November 2022 and the idea and inspiration was of course to sell women’s clothing and accessories. But the idea and inspiration was and is still so much bigger than that. I wanted to create an environment where women felt welcome, appreciated, loved, and would leave feeling better than when they arrived. I named the boutique Love Always, because it is important that we all lead with love, give love, and receive love! Creating an environment that reflects this is very important to me. And the clothes are a huge part of this too! When you get dressed up, and you love what you are wearing, you truly feel better about yourself and more confident. Our team loves helping women look and feel their best, we take a lot of pride in it! And we truly hope every woman loves their experience in the store, whether or not they purchase anything! We love all of our ladies!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three skills that have been most impactful on my journey have all come from my sales background. Social skills/people skills have been huge in being able to connect and work with the women that come in to understand what they are asking and looking for. My sales knowledge has helped tremendously, from understanding how to grow the business, market it, and staying in front of our customers, whether it’s on social media, at popups, or through our customer text messages and emails. And lastly my business knowledge, from working in corporate sales for 15 years, I acquired a lot of knowledge on how a business runs successfully.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Wow, great question! There is definitely more than one person that has helped me overcome challenges to be successful! My parents have always been huge supporters of mine and have always been there for me through the highs, and always listen and help me through the lows. Then there is my husband, I absolutely would not be this successful or perhaps even opened the boutique without his love and support. He is also in business, we have had many strategy conversations, we truly enjoy discussing all things business, maybe too much! But he is also always there to help me setup and take down my popups, and Lord knows he has listened and supported me through all the highs and lows that you go through in running a business. And lastly, my team at the boutique! We have the most incredible team full of beautiful women, on the inside and out! We would not have grown this quickly without them and I’m so thankful for each one of them!
