We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angela Gaston a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Angela, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity was poured into me from the day I was born which came from God. I would watch others walk over those whom was brokenhearted, hurt due to childhood trauma, and I told God one day to send me to the broken, hurt, and those that really needs God help. In most cases I know how it feels to walk down a similar path feel with hurt & pain.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I get very exciting helping others that God has assigned to me.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The 4 most important things that was the most impact on my journey was
1. Put God 1st & heal from anything that have hurt you in the past, because if you don’t you will be bleeding (hurting) others that was sent to help you that had nothing to do with what you’ve been through in the past.
2. Learn to forgive not for the sake of those that have hurt you, but for the sake of yourself, because forgiveness frees you to become healed which allows you to take your power back. Unforgiveness keeps you mentally in prison to be filled with angry, hate, and more.
3. Believe in your Mission/ Purpose even when no one else do.
4. Last stay consistent in whatever you do, and don’t give up!
The day you decide to give up could be the day that God opens up that door that you have been praying for.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth and improvement in the last 12 months has been giving God full control over my life. Almost two years ago I had an accident which pull the rug from under me, and all of my savings went dried. I cried and blamed God.
I wanted to give up because I had no income to pay for anything. little by little God showed up, and was on time.
Ive been through so much in my life that I had to protect myself from all kinds of things (I thought), and this was one of those test I had to lay everything at the feet of Jesus. In most cases when God is trying to bring you up to a new level you must go through some things in life to get to the finish line.
