We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angela Padgett . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angela below.
Angela, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I struggle with mental health alot when I was growing up. From dealing with abuse in many forms, to suicidal thoughts and attempts as well as being a severe self harmer. I would bottle up all my emotions and feel so worthless. One day my father put me in to therapy after many discussion from my mom telling him that I needed it. I went to therapy and exploded. Letting out all the build of trauma and pain that I had store inside. I knew right then this is exactly what I wanted to do for others, what I was suppose to do for others! My purpose was to help others and guiding them through there process. As a child my dream was to become a teacher but after entering therapy, I knew that I could do both and make it 1. So I became a life coach and empathic listening to be there for other through trying times. To remind them that they are not alone, that they are seen and heard and how they feel is valid.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Creating a safe space for safe talks. Growth and development is our goal to being our unapologetic authentic self.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Stop being so hard on yourself, allow yourself the chance to fall and learn. Be open to listen more and talk less. Don’t let your story stop you from who you can potentially be. Get your thoughts out on paper.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I will say my wife! She has guided me in so many ways. I have learn to have better self talk because of her. She made me see that my dreams were obtainable. She taught me that if I don’t know something there is always room to learn and grows. She allow me to really see myself and give myself the honor that I deserves. She reminds me how important I am and lets me know she’s proud of me. I married an incredible woman and I am forever grateful for her.
