We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angela Sostre a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My mother without a doubt.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a hairstylist and lash artist. I am also a writer and a podcast host. And on top of that an aspiring model and fashion designer. I think what it’s special about what I do, is the time I get to spend with each individual. As busy as my life gets, each time I get to share a smile with a client, guest, coach, and more. It’s a memorable experience.
I did have a terrible car accident back in 2016 and to be able to do what I love everyday is an extraordinary gift. Not only do I have the privilege to speak with many people, furthermore I have the pleasure to listen to their stories. Some which are the stories behind my smile.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Tenacity, forgiveness and gratitude. These three? Life savers. Being tenacious enough to withstand whatever life throws our way. Forgiving our past, present and future self from mistakes made three fold. And finally however never least, gratitude towards the new endeavors and evolution the future brings.
As individuals, we all evolve as time goes on. From childhood to adulthood and everything in between. And having these three have helped me manage through my life thus far.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Indeed I am. I’m looking for individuals that want to share the stories behind their smile. As I mentioned before, life does get busy for sure and beyond that; life is hard. There are so many reasons, stories, thoughts, experiences etc behind our smiles and each of them are special thus worth sharing.
