We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angela. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angela below.
Angela , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from the dogs and the people I work with every day. Seeing a dog overcome fear or a family finally find peace in their home reminds me why the hard moments are worth it. I also lean on my spiritual connection and the belief that everything happens for a reason—even setbacks carry lessons that shape the path forward.
On top of that, I’m fueled by the dedication my team shows. We work together with a shared vision, and knowing I’m not in this alone makes me stronger. That combination of purpose, faith, and teamwork is what keeps me moving no matter how tough it gets.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
At GentleWolf Dog Training, what we do is more than teaching dogs commands—it’s about helping both dogs and their owners grow together. From our perspective as a team, the most exciting part of our work is watching those transformations happen: a dog finding calm where there was once chaos, or an owner discovering the confidence to truly lead their dog. Those moments are what fuel us.
Our philosophy is simple but powerful: balance, structure, and freedom. We believe that when humans provide clear guidance and consistency, dogs gain the freedom to live calm, happy lives—and owners gain the joy of a true partnership.
As a team, we’re also growing. GentleWolf has expanded into multiple locations in the U.S. and Europe, and we’re now launching our trainer academy to share our methods with others who want to create that same impact in their own communities. For us, growth isn’t just about building a company—it’s about building a movement where people and dogs everywhere can thrive together.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that have shaped my journey most are resilience, perseverance, and curiosity. Resilience and perseverance kept me going when things got tough and reminded me that failure is part of the process, not the end of it. Curiosity pushed me to keep learning—about dogs, people, and even myself—and that constant growth is what makes real transformation possible. And communication has been the bridge: understanding how to reach not only the dogs I train but also the people who love them.
For anyone just starting out, my advice is to embrace the hard days instead of fearing them—they’ll make you stronger. Stay curious and never stop asking questions or seeking new perspectives, because growth lives in the unknown. And finally, invest in your ability to communicate with clarity and empathy, because that’s what turns knowledge into impact.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Our ideal clients are people who are genuinely ready to grow and create change—not just in their dog, but in themselves and their relationship with their dog. We love working with likeminded owners who are open, curious, and committed to putting in the effort it takes to see transformation.
That can be the everyday dog owner who simply wants a calmer walk and a happier home, as well as those facing more complex challenges with dogs others might consider ‘too difficult.’ What matters most isn’t where you’re starting, but that you truly want to create a better partnership. When that willingness is there, the results can be incredible.
