We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angelia Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angelia below.
Hi Angelia, thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.
I’ve overcome writers block many times, by remembering why I started my writing journey and keeping it fun. Writing has always been a passion, and although it can turn into a lucrative business I remind myself that it’s a passion that I’m blossoming into a living.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a screenwriter & director. It’s an exciting era to be a film maker, to share my thoughts from its inception, and craft it into a beautiful and thought provoking narrative. 2025 has been an exciting year as my first feature “Bloody Money” which I wrote was released via Prime video, Spectrum, & more. To receive amazing feedback on a film I’ve written means everything to me. It’s all the support I need to fuel me, to keep writing and creating.
My production company “A Jackson Concept llc” is reaching new heights as the first project I’ve produced through my company has released a short film titled “Unexplored” that has had an incredible film festival run, and several award nominations. In 2026, I have several projects lined up to produce that will be written and directed by me.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three qualities that were most impactful on my journey were persistence, creativity, and resilience. For anyone who is beginning their filmmaking journey must have tough skin, be willing to keep going despite all the no’s they will hear, stay creative in work but also in how to get the work done.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months has been learning who I was as a filmmaker, who I am currently, and where I want to be in the future as a filmmaker. I know the genres of Television and Film I’d like to create, and the positive impact I’d like to have on viewers and my supporters.
