Meet Angelic Mister

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angelic Mister a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Angelic, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my confidence and self-esteem by facing my fears. I had experienced some life challenges that compelled me to shift in my thinking and my approach to life. I realized that I had to see myself differently in order to be different. When I made the mental shift, I became more confident. I had to reflect on the women in my family who were confident women, like my grandmother. I had to remember that I am of the same fiber and had the same DNA.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a business and financial coach. I work with entrepreneurs to assist them in upscaling their business or starting a business. In addition, I help those who are interested in securing funding for their business improve their credit score to qualify for funding. I am most excited about what I do because I get to help people make their dreams a reality. I also get to change the trajectory of their financial future. It is most exciting to know that I am helping people create generational wealth for their families.

I would like people to know that I brand myself on personal development and empowerment.

I recently published a book, Every Woman Has a Little Niecey. Niecey is my nickname. In the book, I share my life story; The purpose of the book is the help women understand that we have more in common than not. We (women) have all faced some of the same life changes that I (Niecey) have faced. More importantly, we should embrace our commonalities and learn from our differences.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three qualities that that were most impactful to me were leadership, resilience, and determination.

I would advise others to keep learning and growing. I have always been a self-learner. I feel it is important to learn from others and your mistakes. I encourage other to stay focused on where they want to be in life and avoid any distractions. It is imperative to make no excuses but to be determined to face any obstacles with courage to change the course of their lives. My children were my forced discipline. I knew they I had to make choices that would make life better for me and ultimately them.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to take me to church and learn about the word of God. This spiritual foundation has helped me to keep the faith whenever life became overwhelming. I used the faith I had in God to keep me grounded. I learned to depend on the word of God as my strength in tough times. I do not think I would have made it through some of my adversities if I was not strong in faith.
