Meet Angelina LeWand

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angelina LeWand. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angelina below.

Angelina, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

Self-care comes in many forms to me. Throughout the week and during busy days, I always prioritize getting a workout in. That 30-minutes to hour time to just focus on myself is important. Reading before bed helps calm my mind and get a deep sleep to help me feel well rested the next morning. On weekends, I love to get outside, listening to the sounds of nature, and feeling the fresh air. Each of these things allow me to feel rejuvenated, taken care of, and allows me to show up better for others and for my responsibilities.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My main goal with my business and blog is to make travel planning and the world of health and wellness as easy as possible. There is so much information out there and it can be really overwhelming. I do tons of research for any of my travels and wellness routines to consistently learn new things. I want to share all of this information in an easily accessible way to everyone, hopefully making these worlds of travel and wellness a bit less overwhelming. With travel, I strive to create the most unique and exciting travel experiences, while still being environmentally conscious and animal-friendly. For all of my wellness routines I strive to find the safest, cleanest, environmentally conscious, and animal-friendly routines.

I am truly passionate about each aspect of my business and all of the things that I share through this platform. I hope everyone can find something that resonates with them!

I am most proud of building this entire brand by myself. From brand ideation and conception, to creating digital strategy for my blog and social media, to building out repeatable process templates to keep myself organized, and executing on all of that. It has been a culmination of a ton of work, creativity, and passion, and I love having this creative outlet that I can call my own!

I have so many future plans for MoVIN Eclectic and can’t wait to bring those to life!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Planning/Organization: As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once said, “A goal without a plan is just a wish”. Planning is at the core of who I am. I’m a Project Manager for a living and I extend those skills out to all areas of my life: daily, weekly, and yearly plans, travel plans, moving plans, setting up and content planning for MoVIN Eclectic, pretty much everything. I firmly believe that there is direct power in writing out plans and being able to accomplish your goals. Planning helps me understand the goal and purpose, keeps me on track with timelines, and makes space and peace in my mind knowing everything is written down and accounted for. The first step to staying organized and planful is using a planner that works for you. I prefer a tangible weekly planner for the more tactical items I need to accomplish each week and then create a digital yearly planner for the main bucket list items I’d like to accomplish in the year.

Continuous Improvement: One of my core values has always been Growth. I really appreciate trying new things, learning, asking questions, and expanding ourselves. There is always something we can learn from the world and people around us. If we allow ourselves to open up, you never know what you might find out!

Determination: You can do anything you set your mind to. Believe in yourself and I know you can do it 😊

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

The biggest area of growth in the past 12 months for me has been confidence. This past year, I have put a huge emphasis on gaining confidence in myself, who I am, what I stand for, my decision-making, and speaking up. I really put myself out there and did things outside of my comfort zone. I joined social groups, tried out new hobbies, took a risk on creating a social media platform, defined my core values. All of these have helped shape who I am and find confidence in myself.
