Meet Angy Mera

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angy Mera. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Angy, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My Resilience comes from my belief that it’s always a next day and a beautiful truth that we can rely on. Every time I feel down, sad or depressed because of my past traumatic experiences, I rely on emotional intelligence, which is a technique to apply while we are going through dark deep emotions, to be able to feel those emotions with an objective view.
It’s a practice that is not easy in the beginning, but once is mastered, it is a great tool to be able to control your emotions transforming them into healthy energy and power instead of letting them get the best of you bringing you down in an unhealthy down spiral.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I lost the love of my life, my dear Husband in 2021 to stomach cancer, it was devastating, almost destroyed me. He was my soulmate and we were both one :(… We were building a life coaching business because he was a natural motivator like myself so we wanted to help others with our skills. MY husband was a Veteran from the Army and a natural born leader. His passing was almost the end for me, but I decided to continue our life coaching idea and help others to overcome tragedy, how to stay resilient and reinvent yourself, basically be born again and use pain as a fuel instead of as a self destroying weapon…
That is why I can myself Life & RESILIENCE Coach because I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all the resilience technics that I have learned myself and applied to my process. I’d like to compare my experience to the Phoenix Bird story of rebirth from the ashes…because that is what exactly I am doing.

Currently I am writing my eBook which will be a practical guide of how to develop resilience after a tragedy in your life of any kind, and conquer and rebuild yourself again.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My three most important qualities, skills and/or areas of knowledge are: Self-motivation, Using my anxiety as a tool of power instead as a destructive element, Emotional & Practical Intelligence in a daily basis.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes!!! Absolutely! I would love to connect with other leaders that have a passion about resilience and did overcome tragedy in their personal lives and want to help others as well!
