Meet Aniketh Nair

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aniketh Nair. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Aniketh, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
As a person who takes a lot of risks, I get a lot of haters and doubters who think I’m not capable. When I quit my corporate job in 2023, when layoffs were really bad, I got a lot of criticism from family and friends. “You’re not good enough”, “I think it’s a stupid decision”, “It’s too hard for you”. These were just some of the stabs I took after I made this move. I like to think of it as, this is when I entered the storm. A year later, I’m still in it but more importantly, I’m still standing and it’s because of one thing: love. I continued loving my passions and dreams. I continued loving those who valued me. I continued loving myself. No matter how much oppression is thrown at you, love will always win, So, I’m going to continue pouring love into my life and keep riding the storm.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a filmmaker! I write my own stories and act in them. I love incorporating philosophy and spirituality into my art because it’s relatable and helps the world connect with themselves and with each other. In a world that feels very disconnected right now, art is more important than ever. All my stories are inspired by true events that happened in my life. What I love most about it is that it’s basically free therapy. The ability to write about your own life, letting those raw emotions out in every scene, and then watching that on screen is a truly growthful experience. I’m sure this is the case for many artists, but it helps me understand myself better and stay connected to everything. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

Some updates on new projects I have been collaborating on with other artists are the completion of my short film ‘Shadow Killer’! Happy that we finally concluded filming, and editing is almost done as well. We will be promoting this across our social media channels as well as hosting a live screening of it so stay tuned! I have also been writing a horror feature film and we are finally done with the writing phase! Pre-production is set to begin very soon and we have some fun content planned so stay tuned for that as well! On a completely different note, I am a few steps closer to beginning flight school to get my pilot’s license! It’s a 9-month process but I love planes and traveling so I can’t wait to get started on this!
