Meet Anju K

We were lucky to catch up with Anju K recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anju, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
I always say this- “People are always going to say something, you can’t make everyone happy, and if you force yourself…you start losing yourself and I was in that phase for years.” Yes, I was a people pleaser for years, not because I wanted to impress everyone but actually because I was trying to be safe around those people. I wanted them to love me, to accept me and with time, I started losing my personality and got stuck in survival mode.
Once I decided to get myself back, there was no turning back. I worked on my personal growth and development by focusing on the goals I wanted to achieve, challenging my self-beliefs, and building a positive mindset.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I believe the 3 important qualities and skills that helped me to reach where I am today are – Resiliency, Communication Skills, and Continuous Learning with Adaptability.
I have been a good learner and listener while growing up and always look forward to learning from people and the environment around me. I would like to tell my readers that nothing can break you or knock you down, if you believe and work hard, you will find a way to make your dreams come true. Look for the people who can guide you, support you. Find your community and if you can not find, then create one for you.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I am looking for different coaches ( life, business, fitness, nutrition) to partner with, mental health professionals for collaborations, small business owners, and sponsors for my upcoming programs and events. I am a strong believer in community over competition.
