Meet Anna Jones

We were lucky to catch up with Anna Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I grew up with my Mother and 4 other siblings. My mother was a single mom of 5. She was always so hard working, yet so free spirited. Watching her do her best to raise 5 children alone, while instilling unity amongst us was something that I will never forget. She was my super hero growing up. Whether we were in a middle class neighborhood or we lived in areas of poverty. Oftentimes, it didn’t matter where we lived because of how she raised us to be.

This relationship with my mother and siblings also in the same sense taught each of us independence at a young age. When I was 16 my older sister and I had to become guardians of my two younger sisters after my step father passed away. This experience not only changed my life but became the foundation for my determination and resilience. My sisters, and my family became the root of my work ethic. It inspired me to go hard! Not just for the present moment at the time but for the future. Raising my sisters at a young age ignited a drive and determination within me that to this day has been the motivation behind starting multiple businesses, becoming an artist and entrepreneur along with many other accomplishments.

My resilience comes from always seeing the bigger picture in life. I’ve always known that I was meant for so much. Outside of what I grew up to see in certain environments, or what may have been expected of me because of my background, race, gender etc. I’ve had a determination for life that simply is formulated by the root of my purpose. My experiences and my story will and has inspired so many.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Anna also known as Kioyko. Kioyko means to extend love, light, and purpose with the world. I am a business owner, entrepreneur, and music artist/ singer and songwriter. I have two businesses Signature Touch Cleaning Service as well as Kioyko. I have no kids of my own but these are my babies!

Signature Touch Cleaning Service is a residential and commercial cleaning company that I established in 2015. In addition to cleaning your home or space my intention is to provide peace of mind and for your home to feel, smell and look clean. The company was first started in Orlando, Fl. We have expanded to other cities: Ann Arbor, MI, Atlanta, GA, as well as Miami, Fl. Customer service is key to us as we give our clients a family like experience. We offer free estimates and would love to provide you with service in the Miami area.

My second business Kioyko is a collaboration of wellness, healing, nutrition and music. As a 14 year vegan and studying herbalist this brand was created to inspire and educate. Some of the products that I have are all natural hand poured candles, ebooks and guides as well as cookbooks. I currently have 4 candle scents available which are: lemongrass, lavender, rose and spiced pumpkin. These candles are made with coconut and soy wax which are nontoxic, environmentally friendly and smell amazing. I am also working on new healing products for 2025. You can shop and check out my brand on my website Kioyko.com

In addition to the wellness aspect I am a singer and songwriter. Music is my safe space which serves as an outlet for me to share elements of myself with the world. I have several songs available on streaming platforms and YouTube. My first official music project was set to release this year, but will be dropping the top of 2025. You can look forward to some amazing r&b music and visuals on the way. Be on the look out for performance dates as well in 2025 as I will be hitting the stage. You won’t want to miss it!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I love this question! Three qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that I feel were most impactful in my journey would be: to learn your field/ niche, develop and build a community or support system of like minded people who truly see and want to support your vision and lastly “failing” at something is NOT failure.

To elaborate a bit more in depth it is crucial to research, study and to learn your niche. In a world where many people are doing similar things as you or building similar brands you want to learn and understand your industry and market the best that you can. Secondly, building a support system and community! This is something that I have struggled with over the years in both business and artistically as an artist. Set your intentions and your non negotiables when involving yourself with others whether that’s business partners or music managers. That way you align with the right people. Lastly, I believe that it is important to rebrand as many times as you need to. Failing is not failure in my eyes. These lessons are simply learning experiences for you to see what works for you and what does not. I call it “mixing your formula.” These lessons are simply ingredients to your success.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes! I absolutely am looking for people to collaborate with. I told myself that 2025 is that year for me to get back out there by networking and collaborating. I am looking to collaborate with business owners, entrepreneurs, musicians (artists, singers, songwriters, producers, engineers etc.), wellness and holistic minded people, vegans, and herbalist.
