We were lucky to catch up with Anna Kleman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism is deeply rooted in the tapestry of my life experiences. Despite enduring hardships that could have cast a shadow over my spirit, I’ve emerged from them with newfound strength, wisdom, and resilience. Instead of allowing adversity to sour my outlook, I’ve embraced it as a catalyst for personal growth.
Along my journey, I’ve come to appreciate the profound significance of choosing joy and kindness, even amid life’s darkest moments. Rather than succumbing to bitterness or despair, I’ve cultivated a radiant spirit of positivity that not only brightens my own path but also touches the lives of those around me. My optimism is not merely a disposition; it’s a conscious decision to perceive the world through a lens of hope and endless possibility, even when faced with daunting challenges.
Moreover, I am blessed to be surrounded by a beautiful group of family and friends who consistently see the best in me. Their unwavering support and belief in my potential have encouraged me to finally see myself through their eyes. In particular, my husband’s profound kindness and respect have empowered me to become the best version of myself. Witnessing my daughters’ innocent wonder as they experience the world for the first time has also offered me a fresh perspective on life and the inherent beauty within it. Their presence reminds me to embrace each moment with gratitude and optimism, inspiring me to continue journeying forward with a heart full of hope.
Life is full of wonder & joy, I choose to rejoice in that as often as I can.

As a makeup artist and the Connections Director of Le Rêve & The Château Salon and Spa, I’m thrilled to share my story and passion for beauty with your readers.
At Le Rêve & The Château, we are dedicated to providing our clients with an exceptional experience that goes beyond traditional salon and spa services. As a makeup artist, I have the privilege of helping individuals enhance their natural beauty and feel confident in their own skin. Whether it’s for a special occasion, photoshoot, or simply a desire for a fresh look, I believe that makeup has the power to uplift and empower.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to connect with clients on a personal level and make a positive impact in their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to see someone’s face light up when they look in the mirror and feel beautiful inside and out. Our salon and spa are more than just places for beauty treatments; they are havens of relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-care.
As the Connections Director, I am constantly seeking new ways to enhance our clients’ experience and expand our offerings. Whether it’s through special events, product launches, or service expansions, we are always striving to exceed expectations and create memorable moments for our clients.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, I believe three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been particularly impactful:
1. Resilience
The ability to bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward has been essential. Building resilience involves cultivating a mindset of perseverance, adaptability, and optimism. My advice for those starting their journey is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, learn from failures, and develop a strong support network to lean on during tough times.
2. Empathy
Understanding and connecting with others on a deeper level has been invaluable. Empathy allows us to see the world from different perspectives, communicate effectively, and build meaningful relationships. To develop empathy, I recommend actively listening to others, practicing perspective-taking, and seeking out diverse experiences that broaden your understanding of the human experience.
3. Continuous Learning
In an ever-evolving world, the willingness to learn and adapt is crucial. Whether it’s acquiring new skills, staying informed about industry trends, or seeking feedback for personal growth, continuous learning is essential for staying relevant and achieving success. My advice is to cultivate a curious mindset, pursue opportunities for education and self-improvement, and embrace lifelong learning as a journey rather than a destination.
Overall, I encourage those early in their journey to embrace resilience, empathy, and continuous learning as pillars of personal and professional development. By honing these qualities and skills, individuals can navigate challenges more effectively, build meaningful connections, and strive for ongoing growth and success.
