Meet Anna Vidal

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anna Vidal a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Anna , thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

I’ve traveled quite a bit, to a lot of different corners of the world. I think seeing first hand some of the conditions and structures (societal, physical, etc) that others exist in, and still remain so incredibly generous to others and sharing what little they do have has really inspired me in all parts of my life. It’s allowed me to take a step back and really inventory the things that matter in our lives, which is love and care for others, despite the conditions. In so many of my experiences, those who have less give more, and I’ve really tried to embody that in my own day to day interactions and relationships.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am definitely a wearer of all hats right now: a little bit of nannying, a little bit of service industry, a little bit of yoga teaching.
After a couple years of exploring the professional path after college I stripped it all back and tried to find the roots of my purpose, which is experiencing as much of the beauty of life as I can, as fully and intentionally as possible. Doing this while being in service to others has led me to so many different corners of the world, crossing paths with the most beautiful people, cultures, and traditions.
Ultimately, I’ve landed in the space of helping others, while also trying to build a foundation and grow some roots in the yoga realm – teaching where I feel aligned and creating offerings for the community that resonates.
I’ve been really energized with doing that in tandem with my partner, teaching classes & workshops together. We’re creating a path for ourselves that leads towards opening our own community space in the future, wherever that may be.
In the meantime, I’ve also loved diving deeper into more 1:1 sessions, offering energetic work on a more private and personalized need – through sound bowl therapy, reiki sessions, yoga therapy, and so much more. Laying the brickwork through the Oma Yoga and Wellness brand has allowed me to creatively channel a lot of my energetic dharma and hone in on that practice of service towards others.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

For me, I owe so much of my path to traveling, so I’d definitely say that’s number one. A lot of my traveling was done solo, and that practice of pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone to push the boundaries of what you think you’re capable of, returns back to you tenfold. I’ve gained so much self-confidence and assured capability within myself. Also the complete immersion into any place that’s different from what you’re used to, and just fully leaning into it. Trying new things, being open and adaptable, and approaching it all with the curiosity mindset.

I think the exploration of different interests and passions is also a big one. Allowing yourself to try something you might be interested in but know nothing about. Through this I’ve been able to really hone in on what my core self-practices are in order to keep finding my center – meditation, breath work, intentional movement. And consistently putting yourself in the student mindset, constantly learning and being hungry for new practices, seeing what sticks and feels good and what doesn’t. Almost like accumulating all these tools in your toolbox that allow you to ground down and come back to yourself.

And I think prioritizing strong, supportive, and loving relationships is such a pillar in impacting anyone’s journey. A lot of what we’re experiencing can often be so overwhelming, and to know that you don’t have to go through any of it alone can carry you through hard times, and further enhance the good ones.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’d love to start collaborating with anyone in the investment / small business funding realm. As I try to build a foundation with strong roots, I want to start expanding my knowledge into the funding side of things and really learn what it takes to grow a small business passion project into a long-term, successful, and sustainable well oiled machine. So any and all people who are looking to partner with a passionate small business dreamer who has a really solid vision in mind of how to serve others organically and from the heart, definitely don’t hesitate to reach out and connect !!
