We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anna Wright. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anna below.
Anna, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?
My ability to take risks came from seeing people stuck in similar situations or with questions that were holding them back. It was no longer just about coming to terms with the things that I was experiencing. I did not have someone to guide me through my visions, my awakening. Quite the opposite! I didn’t want to be afraid my entire life, so instead of asking and searching for someone to help me and possibly be labeled negatively, I leaned into my gifts and began asking questions and observing the surrounding spirits.
After that, I found myself in environments that encouraged that kind of connection!
Suddenly I was talking to strangers and telling them about the people I saw, the attachments, spirits what have you around them, and I was shocked to see how many people have been dying for someone to validate their experience!!
When the spirits appear, they are pretty specific. It wasn’t like I was coming up to strangers with ‘I can sense you’re in a tough spot’. It was
“Excuse me ma’am, there is a very tall woman in scrubs and pristine white shoes, and she is -fast walking-behind you. She obviously loves you very much, and she’s explaining to me that your husband is having a lot of trouble with his depression. Do you want to sit and talk about it?”
The RELIEF I see on peoples face, just being there, holding the space, being the ‘I SEE IT TOO, YOU’RE NOT CRAZY’ has been such a beautiful, fulfilling experience for me! Now every time I risk looking totally bonkers, I have like a 95% chance that they need to talk about something, that what I witness is true and they just needed someone to say it.
That story ends with a very lovely review by that gentleman, by the way.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My professional focus is to remove the emotional, mental, and spiritual blocks that are keeping people from being their best selves!
I take it as my personal responsibility to give my clients space to talk about the ‘weird’ things bothering them! The strange uneasy feeling they get around certain people, the strange knocks on their house that they hear at night, or even the faces they keep seeing in mirrors and on their windows! I don’t want anyone to feel unheard or unprotected when they’re experiencing a spiritual, emotional, mental phenomenon, and I pride myself in helping people cope, learn to protect themselves and channel their gifts so they can be safe.
Aside from being a teacher, I’m also here to counsel and comfort the general population in their day to day. It’s important to me to help people find encouragement, especially in avenues that they’re not familiar with.
I offer classes on Rage Release, Body Scans, Spirit Detection and Protection and many, many more, all available to people wanting to take the next steps! I’m available for all ages!
I also work alongside MindOverMania! They support getting resources for practitioners of all skills to make sure we are trained and ready to handle anything thrown at us, as well as knowing what is NOT ours to handle. IE Mental Health Emergencies
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Empathy – Not only for others, but for yourself and the spirits. There is a huge spectrum of spirituality and after death activity that we don’t understand yet, and it’s important for you to take your time with something that doesn’t even have widely known college courses for. Also understand that after-death knowledge only comes to spirits that cross over and come back. A lot are still too afraid to make the leap, and that’s totally understandable!
Stop Gaslighting Yourself – Being incorrect about a piece of information is just the process of learning something new. Humans aren’t perfect, so I’m going to allow myself the same grace I’d give to someone I love or a child. People who have been in their professions 50 years will still sometimes make mistakes, and if that is understandable, then so are your mistakes.
Don’t Take Things At First Glance – Something so important that I’ve learned is trauma will NEVER look the same. Some people cry because they stub their toe, some people rage. Some people respond to grief for their mother by crying if the light is too bright, some people respond to feeling vulnerable by running away. It’s important to look -beyond- the ‘what is happening’ to ‘could this be a sign of something else?’
I had a woman scream at me in a customer service line over a bell pepper once. Call me all the names under the sun. When my manager refused to step in and help me, I logged off my computer and asked her what was really going on. That I knew she was not this angry over a bell pepper.
Come to find out, her son had gotten into a car wreck, totalled the car and was in the hospital. She had to be so strong for him, all her grief and fear came out through a little pepper. I gave her a huge hug, told her I was so sorry, and she cried in my shoulder. She apologized for yelling at me, and I told her I knew it wasn’t about me! I always keep that experience in mind!
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I remind myself that I am batting 100%.
Every horrible day, every death, every heart break, every time I could barely drag myself to bed, I woke up the next morning. I have survived every awful day so far, and those are not odds to scoff at!
I’ve also accepted that just because there is a bad situation, doesn’t mean the people in it are bad. Traumas might be clashing, and sometimes it takes some rebalancing to make a good environment and to approach at a different angle.
