We were lucky to catch up with Anne Klein recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anne , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Where does my generosity come from? What a great question!
I truly believe that the outcomes of every single person within a community is a reflection of everyone that lives within that community – neighborhood, city, county, state, country. My generosity comes from a sense of responsibility to care for my neighbors. I think this can be a thing…
What if we rallied our friend group, our families or our colleagues together to choose a homeless individual or family on the street and help them? I mean REALLY help them. Get them a hotel room for as long as possible (use a prepaid card – there are reasons!) and provide them food/clothing/toiletries (there are plenty of local pantries – you can also use 211 to find resources in your communities!). This will give your crew time to help them find a more permanent shelter/transitional housing situation, apply for assistance etc…
I’m keeping it short and sweet here – I can get wordy! I’m always adding information and tools to my website for reference – https://www.loveisthegoat.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about your nonprofit?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these? What were the three qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that were the most impactful in my journey?
While these things are always evolving, I think I have a few for ya’ll!
1) LOVE! I mean it is the GOAT right? Love helps us give people grace. It helps us with our patience, our understanding and ultimately how we treat fellow humans. This is powerful and will shape everything.
2) PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS. I have learned so much doing this about myself, the people around me and the mission of Love is the Goat. We are in such a rush sometimes (myself included!) that we miss the best stuff.
3) BALANCE. While we all have our day-to-day stuffs like work, children, chores, errands etc… We can’t forget to LIVE! Sometimes you have to stop everything and just go on that bike ride. Ask yourself – Would this matter if you were dying? Kindof extreme… or is it?
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Am I looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absof*ckinlutely! Can we put that in? Hehe! I am looking for anyone and everyone that is interested in supporting the cause and joining the movement – peeps that love and want to share the brand, peeps that have ideas, peeps that want to do content with me here in the A… If you have an idea – I want to talk about it. Sometimes you don’t even know what you need until someone presents it to you… S. Jobs. I wish I could take credit for that quote – but it’s so true right?
