Meet Anne Marie Niglio

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anne Marie Niglio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Anne Marie, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
I’ve been blessed with a calm, steady “knowing” that God is present and eternal throughout my life. When I’ve faced challenges or seasons of feeling depressed what has always felt like a gift to me is this quiet strength within. It is a deep trust in eternity and in the truth of God’s presence. My optimism comes from this seed within me that consistently motivates my actions. I trust that God has a greater plan for all of our lives.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a happily married Catholic mom of five kids and the founder of Matrivi, a small family-run business creating quality, affordable Miraculous Medals for women. My background as a registered art therapist has given me a deep appreciation for how tangible symbols can carry hope, healing, and faith. As a mom, I wanted something I could wear daily to keep me grounded in times of need and remind me that Mary is always praying for me.

I have moved 7 times within the USA. Through much change in my life my Catholic faith has been a consistent, reliable, never changing home for me. The miraculous medal is similar and a tangible symbol of that faith which I love. Our Miraculous Medal necklaces are proudly made in the USA and crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel & 18K PVD gold. You can find my brand at my local Catholic bookstore Olive & Myrrh and on Amazon. I love hearing from customers who share how these medals have sparked conversations or encouraged them in difficult times.

Looking ahead, I’m hopeful to expand our collection to include other Catholic essentials, pieces that reflect the richness of our tradition and can be passed down through generations. Matrivi is about helping people stay rooted in their faith in a world full of distractions and noise.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’d say the three impactful qualities in my journey have been persistence, the willingness to learn new things, and leaning into the quiet (and sometimes very loud!) cues from God when the way forward feels uncertain. Those cues are often found in what we may think are simply coincidences in our lives. I believe that God works though these events and people in our lives. It has been said by someone I greatly respect that “there are no coincidences in our life’. That coincidences are not random but are opportunities to recognize God’s presence, to give glory to Him and to be aware of His activity.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
