We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anne Storino. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anne below.
Anne, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I have always had a passion for helping others. While working in restaurants, I had the opportunity to work with and serve thousands of people with all different situations. I loved what I did because I had the opportunity to be the bright spot in someone’s tough day.
In 2019 our 31 year old son Chris passed away unexpectedly and I was desperate to help myself and my family deal with such a tragic loss. I continually came up empty handed as I searched for answers and support. I decided to educate myself so that I could be the person I needed most to others.
I am now a Grief Coach, Professional Organizer and GriefShare Leader at our Church so that I could help others and walk side by side through difficult situations they face.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I own 2 businesses-Anne Storino Coaching and Organize with Anne. Both businesses are offered in person and online.
I empower others to navigate the challenges of grief from the many losses we encounter in life – death of a loved one, a beloved pet, a relationship breakup, loss of finances, a job, a home. I help others to find inner peace, and rediscover joy through compassionate coaching and transformative actions.
With unresolved grief often comes disorganization that requires special attention and understanding. In order to organize your home, your life and your future, a deep dive into the connection of grief to the result of disorganization is necessary for sustained success.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I have always been able to find solutions and systems to solve any problem. My compassionate and empathetic nature always sees the best in others and allows me to look at all others without passing judgement. As a result, the people I work with feel safe, understood and cared for as we walk through the journey of healing.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I love to collaborate with others in all areas of life. I often have people reach out to me that are looking to start their own businesses and we work together so that they can quickly feel equipped and confident enough to go it alone. I continue to be available for encouragement and guidance. From my earliest work experiences training and developing others in the restaurant business until now, I continue to learn and grow by helping and teaching others.
