Meet Anne Wright

We were lucky to catch up with Anne Wright recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anne, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Growing up plus-size in a country where the average woman is considered tiny by Western standards has been very difficult. Thanks to the love and support from my husband, I have learned how to see myself as a beautiful person inside and out.

Embracing my body and loving myself for who I am has been a journey filled with ups and downs. Through the eyes of my husband, I have discovered the true meaning of beauty – it radiates from within, regardless of size or shape. His unwavering support has encouraged me to celebrate my uniqueness and appreciate the strength that comes from accepting oneself wholeheartedly. With his love as my guiding light, I have found the confidence to navigate the world with grace and self-assurance, knowing that beauty knows no bounds and that true love sees beyond the physical.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
When I relocated to the US from the Philippines, my social media presence mainly comprised Facebook and Instagram, with a modest following of friends, acquaintances, and a few dedicated followers who appreciated my style and enjoyed my daily adventures.

As time went by, many have pointed out that social media often diverges from reality. This realization prompted me to open up to the world. Regardless of good or bad days, I aimed to stay true to myself, connect with others authentically, and maintain a positive outlook to motivate and inspire. It’s rewarding to see more people resonate with my experiences, making me feel understood.

Beyond sharing vlogs and food content, I enjoy posting interesting discoveries from the web and promoting items from my Amazon Influencer page for easy access. Additionally, I take delight in selling my own uniquely designed apparel.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
By leveraging the knowledge gained from my business degree and the valuable experience accumulated through years of customer service, I am dedicated to cultivating extraordinary experiences for my followers. Through a combination of strategic thinking, attentive communication, and a genuine passion for serving others, I strive to create a community where individuals feel valued, inspired, and supported. By prioritizing excellence in every interaction and consistently seeking innovative ways to enhance their journey, I aim to establish a platform that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of those who choose to engage with me.

Be authentic. Trying to mold yourself into being what you think other people expect you to be will only come across as fake, pretentious, or even worse, both,

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Refining my niche. When it comes to excelling on social media, it’s recommended to narrow down your focus to a specific niche. While some opt for foodies, travel vloggers, or fashion and beauty, I find it challenging to limit myself to just one or two categories as they don’t fully represent me. Currently, I share different content topics, whether it’s food, home decoration, unboxing travel, etc that resonate with me and create captions that reflect my personality.
