Meet Annie Ashurov

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Annie Ashurov. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Annie below.

Annie, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from two places: my family and my purpose. As a mother of two, I wake up every day knowing little eyes are watching me — learning what perseverance looks like, how to show up with compassion, and how to build something from the ground up. That keeps me grounded and motivated.

Professionally, my resilience is fueled by the people I serve. I work with seniors, many of whom are isolated or have complex health needs, especially in dementia care. Seeing how something as simple as a pair of glasses can restore dignity and connection reminds me why I started MobilEyesNow. Every challenge — whether it’s logistical, financial, or emotional — feels smaller when I focus on the impact.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Annie Ashurov — a mother of two, healthcare entrepreneur, and founder of MobilEyesNow, a mobile optician service that brings compassionate eye care directly to seniors and underserved communities. That inspired me to build a solution that meets people where they are — delivering glasses, fittings, repairs, and pop-up events on-site.

What makes my work special is the impact. Clear vision changes lives — especially for seniors dealing with isolation, dementia, or limited mobility. I’m currently scaling MobilEyesNow through partnerships with senior living communities, like our new quarterly pop-ups.

I also serve as Director of Marketing at Doctor2me, helping expand on-demand medical care across California, Arizona, and Florida. My mission is to make both vision and medical care more accessible, personal, and seamless — one visit at a time.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that shaped my journey most were:

1. Resourcefulness – As a mobile service provider and a mom, I’ve had to find creative solutions fast — whether it’s fixing a broken hinge on-site or finding new ways to reach clients after a pandemic. Being resourceful means thinking ahead, adapting quickly, and doing more with less.

2. Relationship-building – My business has grown through trust, partnerships, and community. Whether it’s a senior living director, a fellow healthcare provider, or a grateful family, every relationship has the potential to open doors. I recommend showing up consistently, listening more than pitching, and always leading with value.

3. Mission-driven mindset – I never set out just to sell glasses. I set out to bring dignity and care to people who often feel forgotten. When your work is rooted in purpose, it gives you staying power through the ups and downs. People can feel that authenticity, and it builds long-term loyalty.

My advice to anyone starting out:
Don’t wait until everything is “perfect.” Start small, solve a real problem, and stay connected to your why. Focus on learning, not just launching — and surround yourself with mentors, peers, or communities that keep you inspired and accountable.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

One of the most impactful people in my journey has been Dr. Aliona Radzinsky, founder of Rad Eyes Mobile.

Our direct partnership has been a game-changer — not just for our businesses, but for the communities we serve.
Together, we’ve created a seamless referral system between our services — where medical exams and optical solutions work hand-in-hand. That collaboration has helped me grow professionally and offer a more complete care experience to our clients.

She’s been a sounding board, a mentor, and a partner — and I’m grateful for the way we challenge and support each other to keep raising the bar.
