Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Annie Chomyszak. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Annie, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
One of the hardest parts of running a business isn’t dealing with other people’s opinions—it’s dealing with your own self-doubt. Imposter syndrome – that’s the real battle. It’s not just about ignoring the outside noise; it’s about silencing that little voice in your head that says, Am I really good enough for this?
The truth is, most people aren’t thinking about you as much as you think they are. But you are with yourself 24/7, and if you don’t believe in what you’re doing, it’s easy to get stuck. The hardest part is pushing past those insecurities and showing up anyway. Because confidence doesn’t come first—action does.
No one else is living my life. No one else has my dreams, my goals, or my vision. So why should I let their opinions (or my own fears) define what success should look like for me? I have to come back to my why—not what everyone else thinks it should be.
What helps me?
– Reminding myself that every expert started as a beginner.
-Looking back at how far I’ve already come from when I started
– Taking messy action instead of waiting for “perfect”
– Surrounding myself with people who get it
Self-doubt doesn’t disappear overnight, but the more you prove to yourself that you can do this, the quieter it gets

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three things have been absolutely essential in my journey: taking action before feeling ready, resilience in the face of setbacks, and a willingness to learn through experience.**
If you wait for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, or the perfect confidence boost—you’ll never start. Perfection isn’t the goal, progress is. The best way to learn? Jump in, take messy action, and figure things out as you go. Stop overthinking and just *start*. The first version of anything—your content, your offer, your brand—won’t be perfect, and that’s okay. The sooner you take action, the sooner you’ll learn and improve.
No business journey is smooth sailing. Things *will* go wrong—posts will flop, launches won’t land, and strategies will need tweaking. But the people who succeed aren’t the ones who never fail; they’re the ones who keep going anyway. Shift your mindset—every mistake is a lesson. Instead of seeing failures as proof you aren’t good enough, see them as opportunities to learn, pivot, and come back stronger.
You can read all the business books and listen to all the podcasts, but at the end of the day, real growth comes from doing. You don’t need all the answers before you start—because many of them can only be found through experience.
Treat your business like a continuous experiment. Test ideas, try new strategies, and stay curious. The more you put yourself out there, the more you’ll learn—about your audience, your business, and yourself.
For anyone just starting out—take the leap, trust the process, and keep going. Entrepreneurship isn’t about having it all figured out from day one. It’s about taking action, learning as you go, and showing up even when it feels hard. If you do that, you’re already ahead of the game.

How would you describe your ideal client?
At JMG, we love working with passionate small business owners and entrepreneurs who are ready to take their social media to the next level. Whether you’re just starting out or running a well-established business, we meet you where you are and help you grow.
Our ideal client? Someone who knows the power of social media but feels overwhelmed by the ever-changing trends and strategies. You want more consistency in your posting, stronger engagement with your audience, and a strategy that actually works for your unique brand. Maybe you’re looking to build a loyal community, expand your reach, sop ignoring your marketing or finally stop posting just to post—we’re here to make that happen.
If you’re ready to turn social media into a growth tool (instead of just another to-do on your list), JMG is here to help!
